I am glad we got rid of him. I don’t know why harden wanted to play with him here.

He definitely has an aura that gets players to woo over him despite all his flaws. Why else would Lebron recruit him even after the way he played against the Lakers in the playoffs.

Sometimes players are dumb and what impresses them aren't the things that help win games. You can find some players drooling over the kind of play that actively sabotages teams. It's not something unique to basketball either. As Mickey Mantle said "It's unbelievable how much you don't know about the game you've been playing all your life."

because most players actually dont really care about winning but want to have fun and earn tons of money....all the rings talk is just a lip service...

In Westbrook, LeBron has a work horse and scapegoat. In the worst case, the Lakers will be terrible, but Westbrook will be the scapegoat. Davis approved of him for the same reason.

There was/is also the chance that Westbrook could be the playmaker which will leave open the possibility of LeBron having the energy to score a lot. LeBron definitely wants the scoring record and he has a good chance to win the scoring title.

The Lakers championship window is closed, but it ain't locked. There are Covid related scenarios in which they could still win it.

Be athletic and put up big stats in the League = be considered a legend among other players. Anthony Edwards is on his way there, despite not-particularly-efficient scoring and poor defense.

He has the body to play Defense, just need to get away from Minny.

Wiggins got better once being on GSW.

Russ went to LA with the Bron, and now the media finally realizes his flaws and isn’t enamored with his stats…funny how that happened

He still isn't as good as he was 4 years ago though. Next year he will likely be a little worse as well. With each year thereafter until retirement.

What I am saying is lets not pretend he was not a better player back then. (still deserved criticisim and no MVP that is for sure)
