I hope to god the pistons win the next game so the series is over and Malone will have to try again for a ring, but how likely is it that he will play again? Anyone know?

He should. The ring is nice, but it just isn't meant to be, Karla.

I don't know, but I hope he does. He is starting to suck and so is Gary "The Ole' Catcher's Mitt" Payton. This was their last chance and they got drubbed by the Pistons. Time to go to the nursing home, fellas.

If Shaq and Kobe are somehow back in LA, he will be too, I think.

I kind of agree but it would be even more of a disaster than this year, another year of wear on the old bodies and another year of diminishing skill, I kind of hope they come back because they will suck big time!!

I all honesty I think he done and he knows it.

Nobody will want him because now everybody knows that there is a CURSE on him. Any team with Karl Malone is cursed. No team can win a title with him on the team.

Unlike Jordan, Malone should retire and stay so.

Why mess with a perfect storybook ending?

Getting ass kicked by the Pistons in the Finals and it looks like it's his last time to do it....

    Perfect story ending.

I just voted yes. On second thought, maybe he will beg Pistons to take him for vet minimum next year. Who knows?

As close as he is to the scoring title? And an injury excuse for this season? No chance, he'll be back with the Lakers.

After seeing video of the fan poke again, I'm pretty darned sure that Malone is just a lying jerk. Nowhere in the video does it look like he got spit on. good riddance, Malone.

honestly, ihope he comes back for one more year....... so i can go to the game and heckle him til i'm blue in the face or get kicked out. that's honestly a plan me and a few of my buddies are gonna do next season if he's still around.

so i say...... one more year karla, then i can die a happy man.

although quitting w/o a ring will be pretty sweet as well.

That knee doesn't look good at all. 30% chance he stays around if the Lakers aren't blown up.

He wants the scoring title more than he wants a ring. He will play for the clippers for 2 years if it gets him the scoring title.

Better question is: Will any contender want him? If a 40-year old PF can't get healthy long enough to play through the most important games of the year, people might just look at him as an injury waiting to happen.

Ironic, considering his string of seasons without injury, no? Would add just a little salt to the would, which is fine by me. I'd LOVE to have his career ended (ringless, might I add) due to injury, seeing as how he spent his whole basketball career inflicting injury on others without remorse.

Karla, you just plain suck. :p

He won't retire until he breaks Jabaar's all-time scoring record.

And it's a damn shame too.. because Kareem set that record whilst still being a championship calibur player, while Malone is just hobbling around like Emmit Smith looking for some piece of history to cling to.
