typical draymond trying to be the center of conversation that has nothing to do with him. Russ and KAT are players( say what you want about them) who have been the face of franchises.. draymond needs to stay in his lane

 

I think he is more than that, he has become a meme character and the laughingstock for many of you all.

The truth is he is not the first and will not be the last headstrong character in this league.

 

I mean players should be like that because IMO the coach and GM are still the architects of the team.

It is really on the GM.

They chose Russ because they could not get Lillard. (Lillard also nerfed with the new rules)

It is easy to see that what made him an Allstar was him playing aggressively and recklessly.

You saw with Dwight Howard, how he changed to being a mere role player, WB's last days would not be bright.

 

Still can't believe we closed a title window, gave up multiple first round picks, and a better player to trade for this chump. The day it happened still feels like a bad dream, getting hit in the face with a ton of bricks just how terrible your new owner is.

 

Good comparison with Dwight. These guys are freakishly athletic. They use their physical abilities to mask their lack of skills to not only survive but thrive in the NBA.

At this stage of their careers, you can't expect them to suddenly improve on anything. The question we'll never have answer is: Did they (when they were young) try to develop some elite skills or if they did try could they have developed these skills? In other words, are the "headstrong" words just a show to hide their inability to get better, or they genuinely don't think they need to work on being better?

He tried but his movements are not fluid, he always seems to be mechanical and he still learned a lot from Hakeem, otherwise would not even be in the league no longer.

And he is not Duncan, that he can make a living from being mechanical and still get the job done.

There are things like coordination, feel for the game that you are born with or acquired very early when you are a kid.

Those things stay with you for the rest of your career.

 

With Russ, it is mostly shooting, if he could shoot, everything opens up no matter how much he turns it over.

Shooting should be the 1st requirement asked of young players in the future.
