That's right. I said it. I hope they don't trade him, ever. I hope he's the old hat that leads the young Rockets back to glory. I hope he enjoys making like 20 million a year and being the heart and soul of the team. I hope the kids call him uncle G or Easy E or something endearing and he teaches them how to have fun. This team will be back in a year or two and they need his influence to stay right. He's the glue that connects eras. Trade him this team will fall apart, bet on it. Trade Wood's corny ass. Pay John Wall a hundred million dollars to stay off the court... Just keep Eric Gordon. Forever. I hope he retires a Rocket. I'm serious.
Doesnt fit the timeline Trade the gingerbread man. (I think he looks like him especially when he gets mad at a ref. Round face round body, looks like he wants to slice a ref with a knife)
Damn straight. Once we trade him this team falls apart. Who will box out miles turner? it wasn't wood by the way it was EG. how much does lonzo ball get paid? EG's better than him. CJ mccolllum gets paid more, EG is better than him. Marcus smart gets paid about the same, EG is better than him. If chris paul can still play well at his age, so can gordon. And we can probably sign him at a very reasonable deal on his next contact. Gordon is a bargain compared to what James harden is doing.
Love EG and the idea.. He's not at the top of my list to trade but I'll say what I say in every trade thread. If you get back more value than you send, you trade.
Eric deserves to go play for a contender. (No, not the **** ass Knicks) Everyone else got out of town to their preferred destination; I hope Eric is afforded the same. That said, like the hypothetical Kemba Walker/Kevin Knox Knicks trade, no. Not desperate to just give him away.
He deserves whatever he wants. If he would like to leave for a contender than try to help him get there. If he wants to stay I don’t think we should be in a rush to trade him. He’s a stabilizing presence and can fade into the front office, if he likes. The rox really don’t have a retired vet presence in the front office and it would be nice to have some of that for future FA interactions.
Send him to Denver along with KPJ - it has been a fever dream of mine for a long time to roll out Jokic 2X Air Gordon 2X Porter Jr. lineups.
You want a 30 something never been an all star streaky often injured guy to lead us to glory? Add this to the list of stupid things said on this board in the last couple of days. We are 3rd worst in the league with him having one of his best years lol If we dont atleast try to trade him asap we have a bad GM.
He should get whatever the team needs to give him in order to become good again. He'll be a millionaire no matter where we send him. Thats what he "gets".
Do what's best for the team, but make it a win win situation. He's been here six years, during the highs and lows, playoff battles and injuries. He's also been helping develop the young guys as a good example. Whatever the GM thinks is the best situation, but Eric definitely deserves respect for his time here in the decision.
His value is good right now and it’s only a matter of time before he goes out with an injury for a while. If you can get a first rd pick attached to a solid player contract, make the trade.
If we can get Tyus Jones for him, do it. Denver, Philadelphia, and Dallas could all also use him. If he stays a Rocket, Splash Gordon SquarePants is always welcome.
What the hell is this a fan forum or something? ::Checks ElPigto's threads:: "Cut John Wall" lol that you? Not enough chances to talk about John Wall before that one I suppose. - IF Gordy asks out, sure, I think he's earned that but as far as getting him to a contender it takes two to tango. And like, a good return. - IF someone comes up with a king's ransom and he's cool with it, sure, don't be dumb. - I'm with @hakeem94 THIS is a contender (in a couple seasons, with the right leadership eg. EG not Wall/Wood) Green and Sengun are gonna be a nightmare unit in 23-24. Porter may get there too. I also hope KJ Martin retires a Rocket I freaking love his energy and capability. These guys need Eric Gordon. The other leadership options in the current view are absolute garbage options and I kinda don't want to see this team lose it's best leader. By the time Gordon helps this team return to prominence he will be absolutely beloved too.
