I'm planning on getting 5 of my neices/nephews a $20 card each, so $100 total. Looking to see if you know of any that gift back.

Best I've seen so far is JCI giving $10 GC for every $30. Curious if that means I'll get $30 in GC for a $100, or zero because none of my GC are more than $20.

    Thoughts?

Just tell them to split the $100 gift card 5 ways. Boom problem solved.

So you want to buy your family $20 worth of hot dogs for Christmas and want to see how much money you can save in doing so?

Be careful- those 'bonus' gift cards have a usage period and expiration date.

First... nothing wrong with spending $20 on gifts for nieces and nephews.

Second, regardless of the deal it would be best to make sure you get them a gift card that is beneficial for them.

    Third, how old are they?

    16-21.

And you make a decent point. However, my 19 year old nephew is a bodybuilder who has won several contests. His brother is fit, as well.

The two neices are severely overweight.

Yet, when determining this choice, I looked at the healthy items for the bodybuilder.

I spend $50 per nephew/niece. Usually just venmo them as they are all 15-22 years old

What is a JCI gift card? I've Googled and can't find anything relevant?

It's been a long time since I lived in Houston. We love JCI, except I eat way too many when we go if we're back in town.

Not sure if a JCI gift card is good for the severely overweight ones.

Of course not, but getting them a health food card would be in poor taste.

Ironically, their mom was a fatty for a bit. Then found a guy she loved and jogged it off. She got a boob job and lipo and, at 40, is still pretty fit.

My brother was a year younger than I and was always the chubby one as kids. But he also is fit as hell and his chubbiest kid is now winning bodybuilding competitions.

My Business partner is a former personal trainer.

Just spoke to a buddy of mine whose sole job is to personally train people in West U.

    Meanwhile...

So you're thinking of getting severely overweight nieces a JCI gift card, which you admitted was a bad idea, so that you can get a benefit?

Why not just forget yourself and get them Amazon gift cards?

He's clearly wanting someone to tell him this is a good idea. Overweight or not, gift cards for hot dogs sucks. I can imagine the look on their collective faces when they open a $20 gift card...for hot dogs.

When I was in my 20s, free food was free food. JCI has plenty of options other than hot dogs. I'm guessing you weren't aware of their Juicy Lucy, which is famous in MN.

But there are healthy options there, too. I'm not getting my neices a gift card to TrimSpa.
