People REALLY up in here dogging Stone because we released Danuel House... DANUEL HOUSE. If all you got on Stone is the premature ejaculation that Jalen Green can't hoop, and that we released DANUEL HOUSE, I'd say Rafael Stone is the GM of the century. I think it is more likely that we have certain posters that will bring the negativity NO MATTER WHAT we do. It is simply how they operate on the blogosphere. Cheers!
We will see if he gets picked up. Will probably get some 10-day contracts or something. Who cares. He was never going to work out on the Rockets anymore.
Based on this coming out last night, he will get picked up pretty quickly. He probably won't stick anywhere, but it seems COVID is his friend now. I'm wondering since the 50 game limit has now been removed if we would have kept him and left Matthews on a 2 way, if this came out before House was waive Edited to add the link for what I am talking about...LOL https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...d-covid-19-sign-replacement-players-memo-says
House lost his focus in the bubble. That was the moment he burned all his NBA currency. He betrayed his locker-room. I thought he would recover from this but he just wasn't the same player anymore. Its unfortunate. He needs a team where he can start over.
Exactly. I think he can still play in the NBA, but he needs a fresh start. They should have released immediately after the bubble incident.
waive the last 2 way conversion - for the next two way conversion... lol i will say Stone got his 2 way guy converted a lot more expeditiously than Murray did...
As far as what the Rockets lost out on. They were offered a second rounder by the Lakers for House before the season started, the Rockets wanted a #1 down the line from them and the Lakers said nope. So Stone didn’t really miss out on much holding him as long as they did. Ultimately House had the same problems in the locker room with the Rockets that he had in GS and even college. You can have one guy like him on a veteran team but not on a team that already has Porter. House still owes Harden, because Tucker and Chandler both wanted to cave his skull in at different times and it was always Harden that stopped it.
Should have taken the second rounder. I know I would have before the season started. Stone got too greedy on this one. Still, not much lost.
seems to me a prime example of playing the vets to create a market; it works some of the time, not at others. Roll that rock, Stone.
Nah. Keeping House was about more than holding out for a FRP but also using as salary for a trade. It just happened that Matthews was acquired by Stone, out performed, needed a roster spot, and got a contract.
