Just started this on Amazon and it's great, been wanting a good cop series 3 episodes and still no idea of who the shooter is and minimal Red Herrings. The ending of the 1st episode is a real surprise gut punch.
Started Maid on Netflix. Eh. It's closer to bad than good, but I'm going to keep watching. I don't know why.
Bought me a bunch of 4K movies from Best Buy. I have Disney plus, HBO max, Netflix, and Amazon prime and streaming is nothing compared to physical discs. I saw dune recently. I think it is a pretty good movie. The visuals were amazing. Not as good second time viewing similar to the same experience when I first saw Jurassic park and lord of the rings. Also saw narcos Mexico season 3. This is the only season I fast forwarded. The story is all over the place this season. Saw as good as it gets as well. A pretty good movie that never gets old.
I started watching this last week. I think Raekwon looks like Raekwon, but I get your point. Very well done I'm early on in season 2 hopefully I'll finish this week.
Love watching that show, it has good music and Margaret Qually is pretty good in it actually, it is definitely not your mainstream show. It is really authentic portrayal of the borderline homeless young people in the nation I would think.
By the end of the show I liked it. The first few episodes were meh for me, but it was worth the time invested.
Late to the party but binged Humans and of course picked another show that got cancelled. That's two in a row for me on shows being cancelled without finishing. OA and now Humans.
Watching Gangs of London and really enjoying it, the violence is over the top and a bit much and I like gore but even I think it's a bit gratuitous and really unbelievable to be happening in the present day, there is no way that stuff could be happening in modern-day London with the number of cameras they have. With that said the plotting is very well done if and the acting is top-notch, I have 2 episodes to go and I am interested if they stick the landing but it should not be hard to land the ship. There have been a lot of o-**** moments almost in every episode. The body count in and around London is ****ing ridiculous and the fight scenes are Bourne lite but I appreciate how much effort they have put into the making of this show. 8/10 Spoiler The complete annihilation of the Gypsy camp and the attack on the financial institution was not realistic and kind of took me out of the show but I have to respect how they have leaned into it.
Got into Ted Lasso over the weekend, binged season 1 and just started season 2 yesterday with the wife. Fun show.
Since I got Apple + got through the first season and first two episodes of season 2 of For All Mankind. I've been pretty impressed and am surprised this show didn't get more attention. I'm a NASA buff and also love all the references to Houston in the 70's.
My wife and I are watching an Israeli-Norwegian series called The Girl from Olso on Netflix. Started out a solid 8 out of 10 but then a combination of dumb moves by the daughter and the really annoying mother and well, its a 6 out of 10 now. We will finish it because we are hooked. Be forewarned, my older daughter watched an episode and now wants to murder the mother. She is *that* annoying.
