Theis: "Hey ClutchFans"

 

Theis and Sengun were direct swaps tonight. Theis played 33 minutes, Sengun 15. Theis was +10, Sengun -23. It was a glaring deficit. That's your 13 points.

Obviously, there were a lot of other substitutions and lineup changes that factor in. With Wood out, the Rockets didn't have much choice. Not to mention that Sengun played the most minutes of the season and then had to follow it up the next night. These are the times where the coaches need to figure out what worked and didn't work, and why. I don't care about the loss, as long as there is something learned from it. It's also the reason that there is no such thing as tanking this year. Throw the guys out there and let them try to win. The coaches and players will all be better for it.

 

Gotta give it up to Vanilla Theis. He was busting his buns tonight.

(that Theis "highlights" thingy is hilarious!)

 

You guys can just stop. It's very simple. Sengun had a bad game. Theis had a good game. Just this game. Move on.

Nobody is saying that Theis fits. Nobody is saying that he's better than Sengun. Sengun doesn't need you to put blame on another player to justify having a bad game. It happens to any player. Certain happens to a 19 years old rookie. I love the guy. But some of you seems to have reached LOF level.

You're wasting your breath. There's no use arguing with a certain population who claim they "love the Rockets" but hate it when a particular member of the Rockets shows out.

If Sengun has a 22/10 game on 8/12 shooting but we lost? "Sengun was awesome! I don't mind getting blown out!"

If Theis has a 22/10 game on 8/12 shooting but we lost? "Coaches suck, Theis sucks and I hate everything! Why didn't we play the guy who went 0-3 and got 1 point in 15 minutes, more? WAHH WAHH"

 

We REALLY need to play 2 bigs........we need to shoe horn in SEngun and Wood.....and let them figure it out.

We are not big enough or athletic enough against teams with mobile and multiple bigs.

Absolutely not. Maybe if Josh Christopher takes a tat for the team but as things stand, Thesis is and will never be in the great Swan Lake.

The only upside to this loss is that some GM out there might get momentarily foolish and decide that Theis is worth trading for.

 

Theis is good for a contender, don’t let your love for Sengun cloud your judgment.

Man, people need to chill the **** out and just admit when players have a bad one. This wasn't Sengun's night at all, that's fine. Anybody with eyes can see he was struggling with the size in the frontcourt and got manhandled a bit. As skilled as Sengun is, he'll always be limited in the league against certain matchups unless he puts on some weight/muscle. Bulking up without reducing his athleticism may be the biggest factor in him hitting his ceiling in all truth.

 

That's funny at first I didn't know who you were talking about but then it hit me you were talking about Porter and green LOL that's my new nickname for them the boo boo Squad
