Not sure about it being the GOAT superhero movie, but definitely the most depth attempted in a Spider-Man movie since Raimi’s Spider-Man 2. Hit it out of the ball park in that regard, hence why it’s the best Spider-Man movie of all time for me.
So I bought tickets for the boys and I on Christmas. All these reviews from everyone made me buy tickets for tomorrow too. I don’t want to wait any longer.
Personally, this was the best MCU movie, to date. IW/Endgame, GotG 1, Winter Soldier were all tops before this, but this...this takes the cake. Movie made me feel more than any other MCU movie. Happiness, sadness, bitterness, hope, etc. And to be able to do it all as the third movie in a standalone superhero's franchise? This movie was an absolute winner. Marvel needs to sign Holland to a lifetime deal. Even if your fandom is with Maguire or Garfield, Holland is quintessential Spidey. Spoiler It somehow slipped my mind that Uncle Ben dying was the catalyst for Parker being 100% Spider-Man...as if it was the last piece of the puzzle. So when Aunt May died, I was confused why they made that decision, but then it dawned on me, lol.
I agree with your points but I put Endgame and Infinity War above this movie. I will concede that it’s more from the pure fanboy joy I had watching those two movies. I’ll happily rank this movie #3 in the MCU.
