thanks. I had the 13/48 and 200 EMA lines but I see the 100 support line...it seems like we are trading just above it. Hope it holds!
LEAPS are just options..and if you are new to options, do a ton of reading before diving in. Plenty of youtube videos on how to buy.
the same way you buy/sell all options; logon to options trading, id the co, specify the action (buy or sell or spread), then the expiration and strike i currently own Jan 2023 and Jan 2024 LEAPS (15 and 17 strikes CALL) on F, and short on near-term (early 2022) higher-strike CALLS ( 25 and 27 strikes)
-40% on the main one since FEB 2021 but +336.19% past 5 years. Guessing it's going to go sideways for a while. TSLA was carrying her.
I watched this channels vids last year. Helped me learn a lot of the basics. You can also use https://www.optionsprofitcalculator.com/ to estimate your gains/losses on the options you pick.
Oh lawdt. Someone is about to lose a lot of money. Or make a lot of money. There is no in between. Good luck to you. Stocks only go up so the more time you spend learning and reading the less gains you'll have. You'll miss being early if you're buried behind books or videos or a paper trading account.
So if the leaps aren't listed for that stock, then it's not offered by the market maker? Tell me about it. It's not as easy as what's being said on tiktok...
i use whatever TA knowledge i have to establish a price target for the stock. usually, buy a CALL ( 3-mos out) very close to the money and sell a shorter term (30-45 days) w a higher strike. going forward, should it appear that the short leg may be in-the-money soon, buy it back and sell a higher strike CALL w a longer expiration, just so that it results in a credit
Just buy some shares man. Don't make this too complicated. What ticker are you looking at that didn't have options?
Schwab is my broker. it had purchased Opionetics, an options training/seminar provider w an online presence. Schwab had incorporated many of Optionetics' training materials into its classes /seminars for its clients. thru these seminars, i learned about options, spreads, and attendant strategies, as well as how to calculate the max risk / max profit for each trades and the graphic depiction of the risk/reward, Breakeven point. etc. after making an options trade, Schwab online offers a graphical depiction of the risk/reward and Breakeven data
Between the 2 i'd prob go with qualcomm, but i'm avoiding the fabless companies; companies like aapl and googl are starting to flex their muscle as fabless companies now. For semis, I'm only holding KLAC and AEHR atm.
