My son said “wtf, why wound he choose Texas? They’ll just be ranked to start the season and then fail miserably!” Lol… teaching them disappointment so young! hopefully they really finally start to turn it around. The OL recruit was just as important, now they have to shore up the defense… which was the bigger problem anyway.
Defense last year was some of the worse I have seen, just awful. Both lines are getting some major talent which is sorely needed.
The defense was very bipolar to me. They'd do really well in the first half, but got gassed as the game went on. They got worse as the season went on as if they gave up.
They were nonetheless 21st in points scored while 97th is points given up. Even with the BIG 12 being more of an offensive conference (so a lot of the teams might have a discrepancy that skews toward the offense, this is a pretty big difference. OL has definitely been the weak spot of the offense though
i have to admit, I’d like to let this kid start from the start. We might only have him for two years.
Think Casey will be first but won’t be surprised if both end up entering the portal. Sark will need to navigate the QB room carefully since you potentially have a true freshman as a backup of both end up leaving. But what an incredible recruiting weekend. Apparently there is more to come which would be a remarkable turnaround for Sark.
Ewers went to Ohio State, grabbed a bucket of cash, dipped out, and is gonna grab ANOTHER fat stack of cash. Mad respect.
Lots of rumors in regards to Devon Campbell - 5 star offensive guard - coming to us. McKinzie - the linebacker that decommitted to OU and committed to us, just flipped his commit back to OU. Seems like his heart was with OU - good for him.
