Shaq played a tremendous game. He didn't whine or complain; he just went out there and played hard. Great effort and very admirable. Fortunately, it wasn't enough. Deveon George is a whiny b*tch. Pretty much every time I saw him, he was complaining to the refs. Oh man... I absolutely loved those close up shots of Malone sitting on the bench with that lost, forlorn look on his face. That was great! I hate Malone. Rasheed Wallace kept his cool under pressure and made some very important shots late in the game. He iced it. Great game all around. Very entertaining for someone who wants to see the Lakers lose.
To all the Laker haters, this was a glorious day. Now we don't hope the Lakers come back in the next 3 games. But that Piston defense was stingyyyy!
If you guys want to read some very very funny stuff, go to http://forums.lakersground.net/viewforum.php?forum=1&41942 All the b****ing and moaning about the refs is great. KARMA BABY, KARMA!!!! I'm loving every second of this. Go Pistons!!! Uno mas!!!!
I hope someone capped the game in hdtv and can post a pic so we can see the full blown extentent of malone's frustration and ineptness to do anything as for the game, great all around effort again by the pistons. the strategy of let shaq get his but make sure everyone else is covered well is working to a t right now. all the other lakers, kobe included, feed off shaq double teams and their wide open looks. pistons played tough defense on kobe today, he shot a very low percentage overall even though he hit two desperation shots from 3.
How is beating a team in 6 games and needing a miracle shot to do it destroying a team? And since when is a team that needs to win 3 out of 4 games in control of a series? So now the Lakers need to win 3 in a row so I guess they are dominating the series right?
How many of you think that the refs are biased for the Pistons just to let the East have their champ. I hate the Faker maybe more than anyone else. But I dunno....

In the past, you could say that about the Lakers too (conspiracy theory). The Piston guards/forwards get to the line because they continue to play aggressive EVEN when the Lakers turn-up the defensive PRESSURE! Fish plays hard on D when he gets "mad." Kobe does the same thing. But the Piston guards play through that pressure. And they force fouls by expecting pressure and matching that pressure by being aggressive themselves. That's why a lot of other teams would falter in games vs the Lakers. They couldn't handle the increased defensive pressure the Lakers did against them. Or at least didn't prepare for it mentally. Watch what happens when Fish and Kobe start to press Billups. He seems to thrive on that. Billups actually starts to get more active when Fish and Kobe press him.
Unreal, the Lakers fans on the Lakers boards: http://38.118.133.180/forum/viewforum.php?f=1 http://forums.lakersground.net/ Are completely convinced that the NBA are "fixing" games so that the Lakers lose (what kind of logic is that?), yet for the last 2 years when people accused the NBA of fixing the Game 7 series against Sacramento the Lakers fans just blew it off and said they attacked the basket. Detroit does the same thing and the games are "fixed". Unbelievable.
How many of you think that the refs are biased for the Pistons just to let the East have their champ. I hate the Faker maybe more than anyone else. But I dunno.... It could be that, or it could just be that the Pistons are the better team? The Lakers have injuries, they didn't have good chemistry to begin with, you could have made and argument that the Rockets should have been up 3-1 on the Lakers, they were lucky to survive San Antonio and even Minnesota played them tough. Now they're facing a deep, athletic, strong defensive team with a great frontline and no fear of them. Maybe people should give Detroit credit for having a good team!
