Good GM’s will always listen to trade requests for anyone. This is not really news. I expect we keep CWood this year, because I don’t believe there is a team out there that will give up the necessary capital to acquire him which is rightfully a bundle.

Is that how we're evaluating players now? Based on chatter?

Or “doing it for multiple seasons”.

Are we evaluating players based on counting stats?

Stats are a decent way to evaluate, yes.

And the advanced stats back up AD.

It’s just silly we are actually arguing if AD is better than Wood because he is.

What has AD done ..... ? Nothing special until he joined LeB!tch in LA.

Funny stat , according to raptor (last year) , AD's defensive rating is the same as Woods offensive rating.

Woods Dratng is higher than AD this year. That's a shocker to me at least

Likewise, what has Wood done? There's really not much comparison in career accolades.

Has Wood ever even sniffed a MVP race..... nope. AD was absolutely dominate as a franchise player, when he was healthy and engaged.

And according to RAPTOR this year, AD is #63 and Wood is #119

Wood seems to be the shiny new toy some people are playing with......

AD without the injuries is a rare monster but he is mortal.

AD has always been overrated imo, Wood probably a little underrated by some.
Still when AD is on he’s a far better player than Wood. Wood is the discount version of an engaged AD. Fairly close when AD is lackadaisical and Wood is on imo

AD is certainly no Hakeem, but he’s still pretty great. That AD playoff performance against the Blazers was very Hakeem like though.

I think he is more in the mold of Camby and Garnett than Hakeem but I see some defensive similarities.

He is his own man offensively.

Sure but KG or Camby never dominated in such a manner in a playoff series, like the one against the Blazers. That was one of the few Hakeem like playoff series I’ve seen from a big man.

But yea, AD is more a modern big man, compared to Hakeem who was an alien at center during his era.

For all those that say wood is too old to fit in the rebuild. CP3 is 36 years old and he just signed a four year extension. Booker and Ayton are 25 and 23.

They did that when they had a Booker and Ayton though.

Look around in the draft, there is virtually no elite pure PGs no more that can drain the midrange and make everyone around him better.

I get that a 20 and 10 guy who can shoot 3s is rare, but the PG situation is going to suck for many years.

    Tons of combo guards.

You could always search for Rubios overseas. No Rondos even.

This. They had their franchise guys/young core in Booker, Bridges, and Ayton already.

We’ll see if the Rockets feel that way.

Wood is alrighttttt. I feel he’s super hyped up. I don’t care for him here in the long run.

That RealGM tweet is clickbait trash. It's from the Lowe Post podcast with McMahon. They said the Rockets are not actively trying to trade Wood but if an offer they can’t refuse is there they’d take it
