$600K in Cash Found Inside Wall at Lakewood Church

I'm sure you've all heard about this by now, but I'm curious as to why it's not a bigger story. It just seems so weird to me that over a half million dollars in cash was found inside the wall of a "church" and the only thing the media is focusing on is whether or not the guy who found it is getting a reward or not.

If I'm an investigative reporter (not sure if they still exist anymore), I'm going to be ALL OVER this story. Why did the church report this as stolen a few years ago? Why was it inside a bathroom wall? Who put it there? Is there any more cash hidden inside any more walls in the church? Why did the church get over 4 million in federal loans?

This kind of reminds me of the Goforth murder a few years ago when there seemed to be much more to the story than the media was reporting.

Is there some kind of coverup happening here? Or is it just standard procedure for a church to have 600K in cash hidden in the bathroom wall?
