In the post game interview with Cayleigh Griffin she asked a really long question, he lowered his eyes to avoid distractions and listened to every word she said. His answer hit the mark perfectly. This is something Von Wafer couldn't do if his life depended on it: listen to others. They are nothing alike. Different time, different player, different skill set, but they both played in Houston so I guess there's that...
I picked up on that too, he had a great interview. He didn't say anything spectacular, but it just seemed really sincere.
Christopher reminds me of Mathews in how both realize that they could get sent back down to the G-league at any moment. Both play any NBA minutes they get like its their last. Love the urgency, lack of entitlement, and willingness to improve from both, but the 3rd really applies to Jaygup. Harden let him wear his number for a reason.
Man, dunno when JC will be a regular starter, but he's definitely one for the future and if we look after him, he could be something special. We've got some really nice pieces that I hope can continue to gel and develop. The future I bright.
Dudes shot was wet AF last night - perfect actually. Open space is what this young team needed all along. Hard to use your youth and athleticism when everything is just bunched up. Hope to see more of him in the rotation.
He’s been better then what he was in summer league, that’s impressive, more under control, more consistent shot
So much this. He looked out of control in summer league. Looks like he has listened and learnt a lot so far. I didn't like the pick originally, not a believer. Starting to come around
He was also playing out of position at PG in SL. His passing can still be janky when driving and kicking.
I really didn’t expect him to improve as quickly as he has, I don’t know if it was the stint in the G-league or just him being a very bright student (or both), but Josh Christopher is looking light-years ahead of where he was in the summer league. If he continues this supersonic speed of development, our backcourt has out-of-this planet potential! ...also he may have just had the best dunk on a teammate I’ve ever seen
