Jalen Green was just starting to find his stroke as he got injured his last 5 games he averaged 14.4ppg on 48 percent shooting
Show me a clip of him lifting weights or making a high IQ basketball play, then I’ll be impressed. This kid has a TON of work to do, he’s not close to being an impact player.
It was much more than a handful and they were very loud. They also posted a lot especially leading up to the draft, you are being disingenuous trying to say it was a small amount of posters. Why are you trying to downplay what was constantly being said, the Kobe thing was thrown around a lot.
If he elevates to that level then he will be one hell of a player. I want to see him play smarter as well.
It still is, they just do it in more underhanded ways these days. They don't outright call him the next Kobe anymore, they just keep saying things like "Kobe struggled his first season in the league too" or talk about him having "The Mamba mentality" any time he actually makes a shot.
You haven't seen his passing then as he has made quite a few smart passes in pick and rolls He is going to be amazing this is high IQ to avoid the defender Dribbling past defenders wrong footing them is high iq It is sad when people expect him to be a 25ppg scorer already at 19
Now that we got away from the 2 big experiment, there’s so much more room now. Doesn’t have to be player more than schemes or coaching.
It will be hard for him to replace either EG or GM in the starting lineup, those 2 are excellent shooters and fierce defenders. He can compete with Armoni for minutes right now. It is ok, Harden is not starting for the first 3 seasons.
Assign Jalen to GLeague after his injury and let him practice there. Maybe bring him back by Easter or if G.Mathews gets injured.
Worse than no lift - Watch where that shot starts from. @ about 33-34 seconds in the above video he takes a shot from the corner and you can see just how low his "heave" begins. He's got to fix that shot ....
It's like Clutchfans expects a 19yo to come in and just be the MJ because he's a #2 pick. Sengun's play as a 19yo is the exception, not the rule. Lets give him a couple of years and then assess. Having said that, I support him having to earn a starting position. We shouldn't be letting people think they're automatic starters purely by virtue of their draft position.
