I was curious what Laker fans were thinking after game 3 and stumbled upon the Lakerstalk forum. Suprise, suprise, they're blaming the outcome on a conspiracy theory involving the refs and David Stern favoring the Pistons. Granted, some of the calls were questionable, but frankly, of all the teams in NBA, LA is the LAST team that can try and pull that card.

it is ridiculous that they think they always get the bad end of the stick. If we start a national poll, Fakers will be voted by far the favorate team by refs.

Every team moans like this, but it is ridiculous when the Laker fans do it, since they get plenty of favourable calls. One poster was saying that Kobe gets no respect from the refs.

In the first round, if Kobe drove, and missed the layup: "Oh Mr. Bryant, please have some free throws. No way that you would have missed unless you were fouled."

This Lakers board is actually worse. Every Kobe bad game is someone else's fault as Kobe should never have bad games in his life...

Having now read a bit of both the forums posted, i think i'll give lakersground the leg up on the other forum simply because there are decent number of posters there who are willing to accept the truth: that the lakers are being severely outplayed.

I love listening to LA sports radios after a Lakers loss. You can't believe how many fans call in to complain about the officiating. I mean, it's so ridiculous it's funny.

I agree with Bailey, every team complain about the refs. I can understand homer bias. We Rockets fans do the same too. But for the Lakers, even if (BIG IF) the refs did favor the Detroit, the Lakers still deserved it. It's called "What goes out will come back." :D

Those guys in the lakersground forum are pathetic. They are all blaming the refs for the reason why the Lakers are down 2-1. Detroit plays better defense and can do so without fouling. The Lakers OTOH are old and slow and not as good defensively and have to resort to grabbing and reaching to keep the Pistons away from the rim. Just because there is a freethrow disparity doesn't mean that the refs aren't calling the game fairly. I hope the Pistons keep winning so I can look forward to more whining from Lakerfans. :D

I hear Mychal Thompson on the radio a lot. He's one of the worse homer announcers I've heard. The pbp guy frequently has to correct him of some stupid comments.
