the other game I forgot to mention was game 3, a 7 point Pistons win that was a 2-point game 80-78 in the final minute.

    Yeah, thoroughly controlled.

Forget 20-8 against the West. They still get to play the Clippers and Suns and Warriors. Say, pacertom, what was Indiana's combined regular season record against the Spurs, Kings, T-Wolves, and Lakers?

I don't know about the other three Western powers, but the Pacers went 0-2 against Sacramento.

Okay pacertom, your logic is pretty screwed up and many other posters have pointed out a lot of these points already. The one I would like to make is that I don't see how you can say that the Lakers are SO much worse than the Pistons right now. Hey, I'm happy as hell how this series is going right now, but 2-1 is a FAR cry from being over. The Lakers were down 2-0 to San Antonio (who you probably think belongs in a farm league), and came back and beat the HELL out of that team. I'm just saying, I would wait till the END of the Finals before I'd make this argument. We haven't seen the best from the Lakers yet.
All of that being said...go Pistons. :D

this thread has gotten a little off-topic.

Detroit is in the Eastern Conference.
They have completely outplayed the Fakers in the first three games.
Even if they lose the next three in a row they have shown that the Eastern Conference is not a development league.

I've watched the game, while some of the was close (most of it due to Detroit collapsing late, almost every game went the way Detroit wanted it. Dirty, sloppy ugly basket ball. The game was played in the maner in which is Detroit's game to lose. That's why I said they dominated the series.
