The quickest way for this team to get to respectability is to hire McDaniels, trade for Garoppolo and go defense in the first round. They could get to 8 wins next season and give the fans some hope for the future.

This exactly what will happen I’ve been saying for awhile now everything is going to come full circle.

And anybody who wouldn’t McDaniels as the the next HC is delusional.

Texans want no part of Jimmy G and his contract. Just wait for Niners to release him if you want to sign him.

He has 1 yr left at 25 million. Not bad for a guy who is only 30 and top 10 in QBR and quarterback rating. An extension would be expensive but doable with their cap situation post-2022.

Agreed. I’m not a Jimmy G fan but he would be an instant upgrade.

    Who needs Carlos Watkins?

    Better cut him.

$25 million for a QB who can't stay on the field. He has been hurt every year of his career....multiple games a season. No thanks.

Uh that's us back to Schaub heads with no real chance of winning a super bowl. No thanks. I'd rather tank.

The quickest way for respectability is that Deshaun settles his cases and works out an agreement with the team to comeback and play. Otherwise we looking at a 10 year rebuild at least.

LMAO, not gonna happen with your POS perverted friend.

Not saying they should bring in Jimmy G, but he did lead his team to a SB.

He's not my friend. I don't condone what he did. He will never play for us again. I was just saying that's our only path to a quick rebuild. Even trading him for multiple picks won't do it. It takes years to find franchise quarterbacks, the chances of us getting one in the next two drafts is slim to none.

Jimmy G will need a good defense, good O line, and good skill position players or he will break your heart. Even with those things, he's regularly broken hearts in SF. He's just not consistently accurate and, in general, has some turnover problems.

But what am I saying. I'm talking to Texans fans and (1) you like broken hearts, and (2) as usual, you don't have many options. Please trade for Jimmy G.

Glad you aren't the GM. Jimmy G does nothing for us except make us mediocre enough to not get top picks. We will never sniff a super bowl that way. I'd rather lose by 50 every game than have Jimmy G.

You read my post and thought I was seriously advocating for Jimmy G. Um, I'm glad you aren't a GM either... not that either of us could have ruined a franchise to this extent. LOL

I guess he was a franchise QB. Hopefully other teams see him the way you do.

I doubt he ever leads a team to a championship.

    This post says plenty.

Jimmy G is doing a good job of leading the 49ers this year and the 49ers just have a so so OL and their defense is barely better than the Texans defense. Only thing wrong with Jimmy G is he struggles to stay healthy. Which will lead to a worse record which is apparently what you want.
