maybe. that's always a personal preference. everyone is different. But Sampson said he already made the decision that no TO would be called and they would get the reb and just go. The ball also wouldn't even advance. So you're looking even less time against a set defense going the length of the court. He doesn't regret the decision. In the end its a teaching moment. Unfortunately it landed in Shead's hands who obviously was lost with not only clock management but on the floor as well, which isn't surprising for a fresh fish. Live and learn and move onto the next game which is Oregon today. Helluva comeback down 20 though for this team.

I think they made the right play in playing it out. If you call timeout Wisconsin has a chance to matchup correctly on defense and its hard to go 3/4 court in less than 3 seconds.

Shead lost track of time because it took 1.5 seconds to secure the rebound. He thought he had time to go all the way to the basket when he really needed to shoot when he got to 3 point line.

Greg Popovich uses the same no time out strategy.

I didn't see the whole game. He looked very athletic and talented, and is a good rim protector. He did get stripped a few times driving in traffic, and I questioned some of his decision making. I think this was IMG's 2nd game and was Sunrise's 5th or 6th game, so Sunrise's game looked more polished (Sunrise won by like 8 -10 points).

Bryant is 1st in the NEC. We must bring them back to earth.

Someone has got to break the contract with whoever is making the Final 4 logos. While the branding is consistent. They have been terrible since the beginning of time. The olympics and world cup have modernized and done so much better.

This one is fighting itself. There's two circles, forming a square, sitting inside a sexagon. And it's all boring. My eyes want to break. The 2011 NCAA Houston logo is boring as hell too, but it's a lot easier on the eyes.

Future opponent watch Alabama took Gonzaga to the woodshed tonight. That is going to be a tough one next weekend. We win that and it will look good on the resume come March.

He has played the past few games and looks pretty good. He gives them another ball handler with some size, who can create. His 3 point shot currently is a little off, but his midrange pull up jumper has been good.

What's the scoop on the game vs. Bama? Anyone know anything about this match up? Getting a win in their place will be the first big feather for this years squad.
