They should've done this awhile ago. They shouldn't have let him cover his brother even well before any of the harassment allegations came out.

    Seems silly to me

Did anyone really think he wouldn't discuss the issue with his brother? Thats ridiculous. I don't follow his show but it says he didn't cover it on there. If he was "influencing" behind the scenes, he didn't do a very good job. The overwhelming consensus across the board is that his brother is a sleazy, douchebag, prick. Pretty sure he didn't change anyone's mind about that.

    But I don't particularly care

I didn't read the story in this thread but have seen this covered from other news sources. What I've seen reported is that he was acting as a very close advisor to this brother regarding how to respond to this scandal. Chris Cuomo didn't cover the story on the show but he had told CNN Execs that he wasn't discussing the issue with his brother or helping him. CNN suspended him because he wasn't being truthful about how much he was helping his brother.

It would be unrealistic to expect a brother not to try to help his brother but that is why even if he wasn't covering it there was an inevitable conflict of interest. Even before this scandal broke out that Chris Cuomo would often shill for his brother including giving him softball interviews that sounded more like family get togethers showed there always was a conflict and CNN should've parted ways then with the Cuomos.

Good riddance. Couldn’t stand him constant sanctimony. There’s a gazillion other political media types who would offer more to the audience.

You cant blame the guy for helping his brother but what he did was wrong and he should be fired if he was using his sources to get info to pass onto his brother, CNN did the right thing...........I know its shocking that a news channel would do the right thing unlike the cult over at fox who spread lies like I spread PB on my PBJ, thick and heavy :D

Naw... just helping destroy Democracy, promote white nationalism, and literally host his show in promotion of the Hungarian dictatorship.

But agree he shouldn't be fired from FoxNews since that's basically their brand anyways, and he's just status quo. You shouldn't be fired for simply doing your job you were hired to do by a foreign billionaire.

No, it speaks to Fox News vs CNN handling and their values.

CNN suspended Cuomo for "cozy and improper nature of his relationship with aides to his brother".

Fox welcomes cozy relationships between some of their political talk hosts and Trump. In the case of Carlson, Fox's lawyers also argued that 'no reasonable viewer should believe Tucker Carson', pretty much admitting that they value exaggeration and lies.

If a person views CNN as bad, rationally, they should view Fox as on another level of bad. But I hear the opposite of that: CNN is horrible, Fox is great.
