Don't care if Wall plays, or doesn't play. Rockets want to bring him off the bench, which is the right move to me. They offered him a reserve role at the beginning of the season, he declined, which is how we got the "mutual agreement". If he really wants to play and he's as competitive as he says he is, he'll take what he can get, or he can just continue sitting on the bench.

Rockets could also just waive him and use an offset clause, which won't get you the full value of his contract but you're at least getting something in return. I think this is the last resort if they can't trade him.

 

Some of the comments in this thread are laughable to me. PJ was the heart and soul of this squad of this team for years and even last year up until the point where it was obvious we weren't a viable winning squad last year he still came out and played... he wasn't happy but he still suited up (mostly).

For the years he did work here, I am fine letting him say whatever her wants. It's his opinion and he seems to have formed some type of bond with John Wall the time they were here together.

I love PJ but he's wrong for this. If he wants to point the finger at somebody it's himself and his boy James Harden. Wall would be getting plenty of minutes had they not both demanded to be traded. The Rockets traded for Wall to try to appease Harden and compete. Once those guys were gone there was nothing for us to do with Wall.

We saw you quit and cry in Houston when Harden left too. It wasn’t just James. The body language of a small child.

 

Stone sent him to a winning situation last year without really needing/having to do so. That was professional courtesy shown. The least Tucker could have done was to stay out of this.
