I doubt it. That would more than likely make it worse. But as I mentioned they are using the same formula as they did last year so that they can implement another unnecessary lockdown. All of this is just meant to send everyone into a frenzy.

Nobody benefits from everyone going into a frenzy. The most frenzied folks out there appear to be the anti-vax and anti-mask crowd. But putting people in lockdowns and damaging the economy isn't helpful to the people supposedly lying about all of it. They don't benefit from it. I'm sure it's fun for some folks to feel like they are one of a select group battling against a massive government conspiracy and cast themselves as the potential hero role in a Young Adult dystopian fantasy novel. But what's happening now with Covid-19 isn't really like that for all of the reasons put forward before. Maybe there are some Table Top Role playing Games where people could live out those fantasies rather than hoist them on people who would otherwise like to be responsible and help prevent spread and new variants.
