People we’re expecting torn ligament so hamstring strain is certainly welcome news.

Probably because Fertitta wanted/ needed to sell tickets. @DaDakota and few others like myself said this would happen if the kid wasn't physically ready to be out there yet. Hopefully they are super careful with him as they are with Sengun now.

thanks, btw not a fan of the injuries and may he recover fast, however this injury is good for rockets because it will help alperens ROY campaign... not sure if this is another of management machinations

One disappointing aspect of the injury is that the schedule really lightened up for the next 5 games. Char has the worst defense in the eastern conference, 2 games against OKC, 1 each against Orlando New Orleans. That combined with the fact that he has played well in 4 of the last 5 games and we may have really missed out on some truly breakout performances.

I’m fine if Sengun wins rookie of the year. That being said, Jalen Green played well in 4 of the last 5 games and was showing real progress. Green continuing to get better and taking advantage of some poor defensive teams is good for his confidence and good for the Rockets too.

I am a little bothered because for the first time KPJ and Green looked decent together....now that will take longer.

Alperen’s minutes don’t have anything to do with Jalen Green though. Christian Wood, Daniel Theis, and Silas are the only things standing in the way of Sengun’s playing time.

Absolutely. What worries me though is that this is the second time since drafted. I hope our physical trainer is ready to build this guy so he's ready to be out there.

Agreed. We got to see them in an offense where there was actual spacing and they both thrived in that one quarter. Huge tease. The triumvirate of Gordon, Green, and KPJ seemed to really work which also led me to think that maybe they can succeed with Green at SG, KPJ at SF, and a PG that can distribute and shoot. A PG that can dribble and be a knockdown shooter on the floor with them gives them space with the ability to play off ball so the other 2 can occasionally make plays as secondary ball handlers while also being able to set them up with easier shots by collapsing defenses.

they have... if jg suffers season ending injury, management would give up on him and start peddling sengun for ROY...they are holding alpi back just for being an unfair competition to their marketing darling 2nd pick

    Rockets Win Streak Incoming!

No one jacking up shots only to miss 74% of them while being the leagues worst defender.

if rockets start winning its because Silas finally started playing small and playing Sengun more. Everyone has benefited from the small lineup. Jalen was balling before he went down.
