Honestly and for those who said to make the best of what he got, playing a bunch of rookies benefit the the franchise long term but short term he's not gonna last long with sht records/blow out. Not every owner is patient and kind enough to let a losing record coach make it to the end of a rebuilding process.

 

well you dont really need to.... its hard to constantly do mediocre moves while expecting extraordinary results

 

Silas is a guy who is getting his 1st HC job after 20 years…if Stone is dictating lineups, he will follow because he has no clout or body of work to point to where he can be like “no, I’m gonna do things my way because it works and has had success, and if u don’t like it, fire me, and I’ll get another HC job elsewhere”

 

I’d prefer more realistic expectations than 2 wins.

yet genius! and its not like his teammates wouldnt get the ball back pretty fast...

 

This season is already ****ed. We are in a rebuild, so who cares if there is a midseason change.

 

SO then find someone who does feel short changed and in over his head.

 

This scares me more than anything. Was it not established in the off season that we are tanking and going to be looking for another high pick? And that Silas will be our tank commander through this process ala Brett Brown?
I am not saying he's a good coach (clearly his record says otherwise) I just think switching coaches when you are obviously tanking does nothing.
If anything it makes me more worried about communication between ownership, FO and coach. Feels like Tillman is "embarrassed" over our situation and needs a blood sacrifice.
This is based on the fact that Stone is setting lineups and has influence over minutes. If Silas is really doing this all alone, then yea he probably needs the boot.

 

He needs to go. Nice guy, maybe, but what he did with Sengun is inexcusable.

 

I think 2 wins is highly optimistic at this point lol I just want to see the young guys play over the vets if Silas does that tomorrow I will vote him for next President.

 

in late to the thread… but don’t a ton of people think Tilman is cheap? Silas has a lot of years left. If they’re thinking about letting him go, and rotations are a big issue, and Stone wants more say in rotations, then he must but be implementing the rotations Stone wants… ????

that said… one wound assume the type of rotation issues a front office wound opine on would be play Green, showcase Gordon, sit Wall, try and make KPJ a pg…. And not sub this guy at this time and play this 3 man combo and keep Theis in at end of games, etc.

 

It does something if the new guy plays the young guys over the vets. The only vet on this team who should be getting lots of minutes is Gordon.

 

Tilman leaked this story. He’s too cheap to actually let Silas go.
