I agree on Westbrook, but that would have ended badly if he was in walls position on this team. Im hoping they can ship wall for something soon. I thought LAC, NYK Philly and BKN could benefit from Walls skills, but apparently the price is too high.
Well it's just nearly impossible to match his salary, and then you have to WANT to pay him that. I suspect we'll be buying him out next year. But I'd love to be able to trade him for any value.
I'm sure lots of people want him on buyout tbh, he'd likely come very cheap because even with a discount he'd make a **** ton in the buyout. Regardless of what the idiots here think, Wall is a great player, he's just not worth 40m.
I'm in the minority. I'm still OK with sitting John Wall. He is an upgrade over KPJ, but after last year, I don't think he'll net us that many wins either. Won't be mad if they activate him, that said, beat writers have said Wall has gained a few pounds. To get back into game shape, he'll need ramp up time. It wouldn't be a situation where Silas goes 'surprise mother trucker', and announce him right before game time.
I think starting a true point guard helps the development of all the young players. No one gets any better if the ball gets turned over every other play or if the offense doesn’t get set & everyone is just lost. Even if Wall shoots a lot, at least the team got a shot in the possession instead of turning it over.
Why would we play Wall. So we can finish 11th instead of 15th? We should be trading our vets & playing our kids. If Wall isn't traded or isn't willing to leave money on the table. Then we can play him next season. But this season is done for.
Lol franchise player right here. How can this man have any positive trade value next season if he doesn't play at all. All dem posters shting on Harden for bailing, and praising wall for wanting to b the next franchise player. Just laughable at this situation. No one benefits from this since the rookies aren't even playing as much.
