May be time to pass the GM controls over to moneyball @Reeko

    99 INT. SIGHLOSS' OFFICE - LATER - DAY 99

Reeko knocks and lets himself in.

    REEKO
Mind if I have a seat.

    SIGHLOSS
    Please.

    REEKO
You can't start Theis at center tonight,
    you'll have to start Sengun.

    SIGHLOSS
I don't want to go 15 rounds, Reeko, the
line-up card is mine and that's all.

    REEKO
The line-up card is definitely yours, I'm
just saying you can't start Theis at
    center

    SIGHLOSS
I am starting Theis at center.

    REEKO
I don't think so, he plays for the
    Detroit Pistons now.

    SIGHLOSS

    (PAUSE)
    You traded Theis?!?!

    REEKO
Along with Gordon, House and David Nwaba

    SIGHLOSS
You are outside your ****ing mind.

Sighloss stares at him in a silence broken by Eric Gordon's
    knocking on the open door.

    REEKO
    Eric, come on in.

Reeko jots a phone number on an Rocket's Post-It and hands it
    to him.

    REEKO
This is Troy Weaver's number. You know him?

    Sighloss looks sick.

    ERIC
    No.

    REEKO
Pistons General Manager. Real nice guy.
Give him a call - he's expecting it - say
hello - then talk to Jolibois about
    arranging a flight for you.

    ERIC
    The what?

    REEKO
    The flight. To Detroit.
Reelo gets up and shakes his hand.

    REEKO
It's been a real pleasure, Eric. I mean that.
You're a not so great ballplayer but still a fun guy.

Eric, not sure he heard right, looks at the Post-It in
his hand as Reeko escorts him to the door

Just now from the “Stone built this team” thread
Lies. Damned lies. Becoming repeated lies.

D.J. Augustin is 34(14th NBA season)
    Eric Gordon is 33(14th)
    Daniel Theis(5th) & David Nwaba(6th) are 29
    Danuel House is 28(6th)
    Christian Wood(6th) & Jae’Sean Tate(2nd) are 26
    Garrison Mathews is 25(3rd)
    Armani Brooks is 23(2nd)

    Kevin Porter Jr. is 21(3rd)
Kenyon Martin Jr. is 21(2nd) — KMJ may play 23 minutes one night and 8 the next.
Josh Christopher is 20(R) — Christopher barely plays
    Jalen Green is 19(R)
Alperen Sengun is 19(R) — Everyone agrees he doesn’t play enough.
Usman Garuba is 19(R) — Garuba doesn’t play; is in the G League
Daishen Nix is 19(R) — Nix doesn’t play

Stop acting like they’re trotting out Nix-Green-Christopher-Garuba-Sengun. “Well they’re all teenagers! What do you expect?!”

No, they’re trotting out veterans (and shitty veterans at that).

Superman cant mess with this years Rockets Tank. This losing streak may beat the Rockets all time win streak.

Funny how you ignore KJ because he doesnt fit the narrative youre trying to build and Sengun shoots 41% from the field that means he makes them when he needs to. You cant just label someone a bad shooter to fit your point LOL You were wrong in everything you posted. Especially that Im a Sengun only fan thats ridiculous. Its funny how just last week I was a Jalen only fan and now that I tell the truth about Sengun Im a Sengun only fan LMAO. You have the mind of a 13 year old.

He shoots 41.2% on 3 pointers. That's pretty damn good.

If he's still on this team next year Stone should be on the hot seat. If we keep all these vets on this team stone woul dbe one of the worst GM ever. The top picks of next years draft are bigs. We already have Sengun there would be no point in keeping Wood.

Not one single starter has 10 points, is that a record?

What a joke of a squad. JG should be taking at a min 10-15 shots per game. These coaches suck. There’s absolutely no development happening here.

Anyone notice that Wood gives up so many points to the other team solely by him making dumb plays? Time and time again he creates negative offense for the team resulting in buckets for the other. With the game tied he drove to the basket and forced a shot with 2 defenders camped in the lane with a wide open matthews in the corner for a three turning the ball over and resulting in 3 pts for the Knicks which swing momentum for them and they never looked back from that point. Tonight after he made a play dunking the ball he fell asleep on the other end the very next play leaving a wide open horford in the corner for a three. He then made a couple stupid long 2 pointer attempts forcing shots while well defended all resulting in points the other way. These issues have plagued him his whole career and were in the draft scouting reports in 2015. Wood isn’t it. He will never be it.

The thing is Sengun doesn't have to rely on a three ball. He automatically puts pressure on the defense in various ways above the 3 point line, like always finding the open guy, beating his defender and finding a cutting teammate or the threat of scoring/drawing foul.

This is from a center far away from the basket. I'm not even talking about his post ups. No coincidence assists go up when he is in. meanwhile Theis feels obligated to take that 3, defense just lags in the paint and the starters just float around. Energy is contagious but here we have Silas wondering why the starters had no energy in the 3rd qtr.

I ignore KMJ because he doesn’t take enough attempts .. if he is wide open he shoots it because he has to… he never shoots a contested 3, he pump fakes and drives.. once again newbie .. I’ve watched every game the last 5 years and been a Rockets fan for last 40yrs .. basketball isn’t new or emotional to me

“Most of the time we just stop playing.”

Son of a b****, if that doesn’t just say it all. I mean, that tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about this bunch and the culture that is developing. If that quote is accurate, there is no reason at all for Silas to coach another game. I’m really hoping it was taken out of context, because that sounds really bad.
