A punch is only a small stretch because LeBron did hit Stewart with his fist. The difference between LeBron and Mutombo is that Deke did not swing his elbows out of anger nor did he ever intend for them to land. What he did had a purpose which was to mark his territory and let players know that they reach in at their own risk. You could even argue that what Mutombo would do is a basketball move. LeBron swung his elbow, forearm, fist out of anger and frustration. Stuff that players are doing against him is bothering LeBron, but it ain't different than what they always did. It's just now that he's old and deteriorating it is actually affecting him and hurting him. Before he was the one dishing out the punishment when players challenged him physically.
