sweet jesus make it stop. it's been p*ssing outside for a solid 4 or 5 hours, streets are flooding, and i'm stuck at work work all by myself. what's worse is that it's one of my brothers' 21st tonight and we're supposed to hit up the town, but not if it means renting a boat or risking our lives. this is the 3rd straight day of rain and overall crappy (and i mean crappy) weather, and i'm bout ready to shoot myself. at least i have my good friend Jim Beam to help see me through these desolate times. if you live in central texas, you definitely know what i'm talking about. that's all.
Barton Creek will be going off and there is nothing more fun than tubing BC in the summer ~ a rare and glorious treat.
It hasn't been any better up here in dallas with day after day of raining and flooding. That combined with lightning strikes on homes and skyscrapers along with 35-60 mph winds at times makes for one sucky period the past week or so.
Ahh southern cal....80 degrees, not a cloud in the sky. Of course, theres a giant brown cloud of **** hanging over us...
hahahaha.....you aint just whistlin dixie brutha... for the most part...the weather around here aint been that bad. raining from time to time, intermixed with long periods of hot, dry southerly winds. Standard late-spring Texas weather.
Yeah, the I35 corridor was the most horrible place to be this evening. Guadalupe was completely flooded - I couldn't get anywhere without having to turn around on every other street b/c of flooding. Did anyone get to see the giant river that once was the street Hemphill? Holy **** was that crazy. The water was coming over the top of the bridge railings - that's insane. I didn't get any pictures though. Come to think of it, I just got home a little bit ago and coming from 45th all the way down to Oltorf, I had to take at least 2 detours through different neighborhoods to get around the results of the storms. Thank goodness it's over with
Hot and dry in AZ and NM... fire indices are on the way up... dry lightning forecast... we'll probably be in the news within a week or so.
