I think the whole point about him generating open shots misses a lot of context.

Like if bad 3 point shooters are the ones getting the open shots then they are not good shots. This is where I get on analytics when used without context. Theis gets a lot of open 3s, doesn't mean he should be taking them and it'll count as an 'open' 3 that Silas' offense generated but is it really the shot you're looking for at the start of a play? My guess is it isn't. My guess is you're trying to get easier looks for Wood, KPJ, and Green, and EGO and everyone else is playing off of that...and those guys never get easy buckets.

    House was garbage.

    Silas was garbage.

    Wood was garbage.

Gordon is a way better player than Green is right now. Sengun is better than Theis, and probably Wood right now.
There is literally more invested in Sengun when you factor in the draft capital needed.
Sengun is at worst 1B to Green in terms of importance and upside on this team, and arguably 1st.
It is inexcusable for Green to average this many minutes with his play and Sengun to get snubbed.

We want to tank WHILE developing our rookies. Sengun getting 5 minutes is borderline inept coaching

I argue that green can show how good he is like tonight without KPJ stunting his growth. Green is a play maker and needs the ball in his hands. I don’t disagree with you. I actually like to see Sengun start. Hes the future with green because wood and kpj aint it.

And on top of that, there are some key moments this season where you can point to dumb coaching decisions costing them the game. Starting House tonight is one example. Not calling a timeout to set up a play on the last drive of the game vs the Nuggets is another.

And I think the biggest issue is Silas still doesn't have a grasp on how to make effective lineups/rotations. Every game he's playing like 100 different dudes at the expense of developing the more promising talent on the team. If this year is supposed to be a development year, starting House over Sengun is unforgivable.

"its unfortunate i wasn't able to get Al P back in the game"

this freakin' weasel, it is literally his decision. framing it like it is somehow beyond his influence, no respect for that

Then you shouldn’t be ok with him playing 5 minutes and Green getting his.
They’re both vital to future success. It’s “one” game, but in truth it’s been the whole season.

I keep seeing Theis was playing well. True and it should be rewarded with minutes. Ok Ok. I gotcha. But how you gonna turn around and flip on that philosophy by starting House and Nwaba. That's 18 minutes.
Sengun is misunderstood by his own coach. He is not one of these Theis/ Wood bigs. Sengun can direct an offense and will find ways to create space for his teammates. It was either dumb or personal. Congrats, you just played yourself while playing the 'vets'.

On offense, he was decent.... great by his normal standards but he's still the worst defender on the team and that leads to him being a net negative when he's on the court.

That said, credit where it's due he had more points than shot attempts, so that's good

This is what worries me. This kid was the MVP of a top 3 league. Not saying he shouldn’t earn his PT, but his play this season already warrants more PT. Don’t freeze the kid out.
