But he isn't.......and his defense is beyond terrible.

He should not be starting he clearly has not earned it.....

I think the org is doing him a disservice by starting him - he should be coming off the bench.

Cade has been abysmal with one good game and he's #2 on that list over Barnes and Wagner? Lord have mercy.

Who else has earned it? DJ Augustin is a 34 year old journeyman PG, Gordon, LOL, he is just looking for a ticket out before he gets hurt again. Armoni Brooks has managed to be an even worse shooter than Green this year and he's a 3 point specialist - anyway he's a fringe NBA player in any event.

There's literally nobody else on the roster. I mean, John Wall would probably take those minutes if offered but I can't see too many people getting into that.

    Clearly JG needs more help!
Aside from Sengun who Sil@ss refuses to give significant minutes too.
Stone got him running around out there with scrubs!

With the kind of opportunities and shots jalen is given, DJ will be more productive for sure. And no, he is nowhere near the EGs level, at least not yet. 12 games, jalen has not shown me is ready for the professional game. His defense and inconsistent shooting makes him almost unplayable.

Gordon hasn't requested a trade from what I've seen. He has definitely been frustrated with how we've been playing, but with a roster tweek, this team could actually be decent.
I'd even be ok with letting tate and KJ martin taking minutes on the wings, with Wood and Sengun Starting.

Green over Sengun is the bigger laugh in that list.

Gordon is gone. Forget about him.Tate already starts and plays a ton, basically you're saying bench Green for Martin...who doesn't really even play guard.

I don't see how this really helps anybody.

Sengun should be over Green clearly. But Cade over either of them along with like 5 other rookies is a total joke. Green has been terrible shooting the ball and Cade has been even worse.

Haha. Truth hurts. Jalen cant hit open shots - much less a three, lazy passer, cant guard a chair, lazy running back on D, lazy in boxing out, and cant be trusted to handle the ball when being bodied.

The only things he can do better than DJ is dunk and deflate team energy with his TOs.

Yes DJ and it seem like evryone else in the roster can outplay him.

    All the best, Mrs Augustine

I think Wall should be playing, I mean the problem is that other than Sengun - these guys need to learn the NBA game - and just tossing them into the starting lineup to get destroyed like is happening to Green is not fair to them at all.

Have a plan, work him in with the 2nd unit, to learn behind Ego.

Good lord, if Jalen Green picks up either of Eric Gordon's habits of

    1. charging into the lane with his head down like an angry bull in Pamplona chasing a hungover lorry driver or
    2. launching 3 pointers while closely guarded from the parking lot on Polk St with 22 seconds left on the shot clock

we will have failed more thoroughly than even I thought possible. Wall was at least an all-NBA level scorer, distributor, defender.

That said, I don't see any better way to get Green better than to let him take NBA reps and NBA lumps. (Source: @DaDakota in the Vspan/Dmo etc days) He clearly has elite NBA level talent, and once again, there's literally nothing left in the cupboard that's going to help this team beyond this year's trade deadline.

At this point, sitting Green means even more pressure on Kevin Porter Jr. to take & make shots, which is...yeah.

I agree that Ego is not perfect, but he is a true NBA player, I just want Green to feel some success and playing against the 2nd units will allow him to do that IMHO.

I can see your point, he is certainly taking his lumps....

I think really we all want the same thing - just don't necessarily agree on how to get there.

I would start Wall and EGo and let both KPJ and Green come off the bench......

    The Rockets lost tonight.

Green was mostly fine, 21 points on ok efficiency. Had to go against a very difficult defender in Dort

I don't get what the benefit would been to make him sit and only play 20 minutes instead of 35.

80% of jalen's possessions is a couple dribbles then back up and pass or a turn over. Its infuriating to watch, i find myself yelling DO SOMETHING!!! almost everytime he has the ball. Im out on Jalen/Wood/Silus. I was so excided about jalen too.
