We suck so might as well. If we had a legit 1 # option wing scorer I would say sign Wood as the second best player on the team not the first.

Wood is the least impactful player. Empty stats guy

The Rockets have the worst playmakers on the team. Two guards that control the ball most of the time are playing terribly but yets lets trade Wood? The real problem with this team is that KPJ/Green are not what the Rockets expect them to be, at least not yet. Until they do not improve, the rest of the team is going to suck.

His defense is worse this year because he’s playing none. Always out of position, doesn’t box out, doesn’t close out on his man or contest shots at the rim. Giving no effort at all. All he cares about is scoring and he can’t even do that consistently.

    1. He is selfish
    2. He plays no defense
    3. He can’t hit free throws
    4. He only gets points in garbage time

If wood rises and stays hot I'd say he'll fit in pretty well ...as long as he doesn't blow it too quick. If wood falls or gets soft, it's over and time to find someone else.

It is a no brainer at this point if only because you know we're drafting top 5 and likely picking up a big. Even if he turns it around it's not good enough for a long term contract.

Trade him to Portland or something, they are probably desperate enough. Someone will be desperate enough for him.

He has regressed so much that I’m wondering if something is wrong with him. He’s just not the same guy this season. I get the strong impression that he’s not happy, and it’s hard to blame him. Still, he needs to play through it, and there are tons of moments where it seems like he’s just not that into the game. His free throw shooting is especially problematic because there is absolutely zero excuse for it.

This trade is VERY important for the Rockets to move on. Trade him before his value is zero.

Players are not stupid, they know the org is tanking, they aren't going to play hard when that is the case.

If we trade him, we HAVE to get someone that can play center.

    We are too short.

Perhaps not getting someone at center gives you the best chance at some length in the draft.

but hey wtf do I know.

We really need some length, this whole thing Morey started about efficient shorter players is just not playing out.

    We need length.
