Tony buzbee filing lawsuit against Deshaun Watson? Hints at mistreating women

The NFL... asked her what she was wearing. SMDH. The 1950's called and they want their sexual assault investigation back.

 

Say what you want a bout Buzbee, but he called Hardin/Watson on their pathetically weak bluff.

Buzbee is the source for this piece. Dusty doesn't settle bro. Dusty wants to go to court.

 

How are the criminal complaints working out? Or the NFL investigation? Buzbee's whole case has been a bluff called out.

 

In the 50's women didn't go on the internet in a bikini to advertise massage services.

 

Buzbee isn't the side that wanted to settle. There were several women who refused to sign the NDA. That's why the trade didn't go down.

If you believe the NFL, they're waiting on the criminal investigation to be completed before they start their investigation.

 

DW is going to sit out an entire year (at least), in his prime, as a consensus top 5 QB. Yes he's getting paid, but this isn't him winning or anything, even if its a bluff from Buzbee (which is certainly isn't entirely, that Watson did sexual stuff with masseuses isn't in question, seemingly, or that that makes him creepy, just whether it makes him civilly or criminally at fault).

It's fascinating to see people jump to believe whatever either media-craving trial lawyer says and treat it as fact if it supports whatever position they want to believe. In May, Buzbee was saying the opposite - his clients (understandably) are the ones that insisted on NDAs back then:

Any settlement conversations after that point would have been confidential, but both attorneys’ statements last week that there are no negotiations at the moment indicate the mediation broke down. One issue the sides differ on is confidentiality: Hardin says Watson wants all terms of any settlement to be made public, and that all parties would be able to speak in their own defense. Buzbee, though, says, “These women have been roundly criticized. What Rusty wants is to humiliate them and make them targets of unscrupulous people. So any resolution we would want confidential, and it would also require Mr. Watson getting some counseling.”

No one should really believe anything that comes out of the mouths of either of these lawyers in the media. They are both playing the public to help their clients in the PR realm but none of it has to be true and both of these guys have a history of playing the media. Until anything is stated under oath in a deposition or courtroom, this is all a bunch of bluster.

 

Add Watson in with those two. I wouldn't believe a word from his mouth right now.

 

Absolutely - though to be fair, he's at least kept his mouth shut. I don't think we've heard anything directly from him since the Spring, and even those were vague Instagram posts.

 

Buzbee will be looking to settle soon so he can Ambulance chase the AstroWorld victims.

At best Watson is a sex addict seeking out paid sex. He won't ever admit that but it's true.

 

If he was seeking paid sex he could have just hired call girls or hookers. This was more of a perversive deviant game he seemed to play on people hired for something else.

 

Fair points. But n my case, I find it easy to believe something about the NFL not when it fits what I want to believe, (I don't have one in this case), but rather when it fits years and years of data about retrograde attitudes from the top of the org.

But to your point, yes, they may not have asked the kinds of stupid questions that Buzbee claims. He's good at crafting clickbait.

 

If somehow criminal charges get filed he'll admit to that real quick.

 

HPD is sure taking their time.

 

(Honest question) How does it benefit HPD to drag their feet as much as they truly have? It isn't as if they have to wait for the Civil proceedings to play out, right? I'd like to hear theories as to "why"?

 

IMO… they simply don’t have enough to move forward with charges. I don’t think they want to “close” the case as then they look bad if new evidence is introduced.

So, it simply sits in limbo. I have a feeling they too would prefer that there are civil settlements made and they can simply bow out.
