The Rockets are just a bunch of bad experiments. We were better off before we ever started all our traded a bunch of young players away 5 years ago. We were better with Harden and Howard. We were better with Harden, Harrell, and Capella. We were better with Harden, Paul, and Capella. We were even better with the stupid small ball farce with Harden and Westbrook that didn't work. Now we are left with no Veteran super stars, and a future that doesn't look bright anytime soon. Meanwhile Tillman finds ways to make more money for himself and give his team's fans nothing but disappointments over and over.
There’s always the possibility Silas is trying to get fired. if he does curious to hear what he says afterwards.
You're right in that I am only going by what I see during games and in the box scores. I have zero idea what Silas and his coaching staff are wanting out of this group. Hell, it might be a situation that is forcing his hand from upstairs to tank and fail hard. I'm not bothered by the losses because we're not fielding All-NBA players out there. However, there are two things that I have concerns/issues with--preparation and hustle. The first one is severely lacking and there have been different times when this team goes into a game looking not prepared. Maybe that's the #chaosoffense at work or the free flowing offense Silas envisions...whatever it is they just look unprepared. That's where I expect the coaching staff get the team to, at the very least, look prepared. The other gripe I have--hustle--is harder to nail down because that's just going to be dependent on the player most of the time. But things like not getting back on defense after you blow a layup (like what I saw from Porter vs Detroit) are correctable items. It's just one incident and it might not happen again but I hope the coaching staff went into practice after that game and called that play out to the team. There's no excuse to hang your teammates out to dry like that.
I hope that's not the case because then he's dumber than I originally thought. Tilman firing someone with 2+ years left on his contract and eating the cost of those remaining years? Ain't gonna happen, Stephen.
It's a travesty what is going on. Ultimately the players have to play, but I dont think I've ever seen a more poorly coached ROX team and thats saying alot after watching what Milkhair did here. On top of the bad X's and O's stuff the hard line of set rotation players and disinterest in trying to modify lineups to achieve a better product on the floor is tough to watch. Undoubtedly Stone is OK with this and it must be part of the process, but man this team could reach historically bad levels and I wasnt quite prepared for that.
I think McHale's time here was a matter of luck to be honest. The first year he was here he had hungry guys that were a year or two away from becoming All-Stars in Dragic and Lowry plus he still had vets like Scola, Martin, Camby, etc. Then he got really lucky the next year when Morey signed Lin and Asik...and some kid name Jim Harden also helped the cause too. Harden masked a lot of deficiencies in his coaching for sure because he was ass as a coach in Minnesota.
its was just a propaganda to plant a clueless coach on the biggest rival bench fyi jim carrey had the best offensive rating of all times(!) the year they traded for rondo...not sure which year that was and if the rating held up after the trade
trust the process - it sucks to lose... but we need high a high pick again this year anyways... the PT and experience is the focus right now. jalen green aint ROY and that's okay. KPJ aint MIP and that's okay. silas aint COY and that's okay.
This is a hatchet job right? He's not this bad, no one is this oblivious right? He wants out or something and is willing to play the fool? Embarrassing.
