Ok, satirical quotes aside, Hakeem and Barkley certainly were past their prime in 99. But Pippen was also less than advertised.

He was a supposed superstar, but he couldn’t be the centerpiece of the offense since he couldn’t really create his own shot and wasn’t a good playmaker. Nor was he a good enough shooter to be a good floor spacer. He whined about his role in the offense, but then he couldn’t deliver when they tried putting the ball in his hands more.

All of that may be excusable to some degree, except he acted like a whiny punk and blamed Barkley for everything, when Barkley had a much better track record on the team, and had made real sacrifices to make things work.

There really should be some kind of minimum standard for articles quoted around here.

"The truth is, I had to put aside my ego. With talent as great and unworldly as mine, I had to choose between godhood and being a good teammate. I think you know how humble I am and the rest is history."

Yes, Scottie, we know EXACTLY how humble you are. I mean, how humble do you have to choose between godhood and ... anything? Must have been terrible on you!

Whole article is full of this...and full of it is what Scottie is. I'm not sure he could ever be a leader of ... anything.

I’m so glad I kicked his non-tip an ass out of the Saint James years back

I gave him an option to leave peacefully, or I will drag his ass out of the kitchen so no one sees what was transpiring

Pippen forever will be the most hated Rocket ever. Yes, he was great with the Bulls and has an incredible voice. Shame he is complete jerk as a person.

Olajuwon was too old and Barkley was too fat to carry Pippen’s sorry second fiddle ass to a championship.

This man is beyond delusional and/or under heavy influence.

I can't think of any drug other than smoking Dennis Rodman's brain to make a man trip so hard.

Some magazine ran a sample of his book the other day. I read it and thought that he was not doing himself any favors by putting excerpts out there. I couldn't imagine reading an entire book where someone comes across as so unlikeable. He acts like everybody owes him something. He has a complete lack of self-awareness.
