I said at the time that this would have franchise altering ramifications. When you pass on a Duncan kg hybrid for a Jordon Clarkson Gerald green cocktail, your franchise needs wholesale management changes.

This ship has sailed its no longer fair to compare Green to Mobley. As long as Green can keep on improving to turn out not to be a complete bust, we will be fine.

 

Comparing Green to Mobley is honestly unfair. I’m disappointed in how much better Barnes and Giddey look, and in turn sad how far ahead in the rebuild Toronto and okc are compared to us because of those picks.

2019- Zion (injuries may derail this)

2021- Mobley is the only one and should have been consensus #1 pick. So obvious to many of us. He’s going to be better than 2/3 of the above.

Mobley is Duncan/kg class, and that will be painfully obvious by around year 3. That should also be around the time the rockets make wholesale management changes. Could still salvage depending on next years draft and FA the following year, but due to this years disastrous pick the pressure is on to knock it out of the park on those two coming up. And also due to this years draft I have zero faith in management delivering on the homeruns it needs.

 

Tilman drafted Jalen Green because of the moronic fans wanted him. Tilman did it to fill in seats at Toyota Center.

 

You know who’s filling seats? The 9-3 Cavs.

 

The only thing I can think of that is more incompetent than the ownership/management dumb enough to take Green over Mobley is the coaching staff burying the only glimmer of hope on this team on the bench and refuses to play him more than 18 minutes a game.

 

the Cavs are 9-5.

the East is currently led by the…. Wizards…. Who are led by Beal albeit he’s having a somewhat down year.

Milwaukee is in 11th. Atlanta’s 4-9. The Sixers have lost 4 in a row. Damien Lillard kind of sucks this year (relatively speaking), the Thunder have won 4 in a row and are almost .500.

The Cavs won 60 games the prior three years. They are in war 4 of rebuild and war 4 is definitely way ahead of schedule.

Rockets are in year 2 at best.

overall record isn’t the issue.

Heck, Mobley being this good isn’t really the issue.

the issue is mostly Green (and everything Rockets related) looking so uninspiring.

but it’s still super early.

 

The point is that getting winning players that help the team is what generates ticket sales. Not Instagram followers of busts.

Tilman is on pace to get the Rockets another top 3 pick next draft.

Mobley tonight had 19 points on 8-13 shooting, but most impressive is perhaps his zero turnovers for the whole game.

 

I wanted Mobley. It hurts when the player you wanted ends up being a great pick, playing well for another team.

Just last year the Cavs were the laughing stock of the league. SMH

 

Getting a top pick is pointless if you're not going to pick the right guy anyway.

 

Not mobley but this team definetly needs rubio.how would our offence would be if rubio is here instead of mickey h( m) ouse gordon etc.

 

Rubio is a journeyman player.

And Cavs are absolutely NOT trading Mobley.

Jalen Green and FRP(s) will not make them budge.
