also, that cop is a hero - he killed a terrorist who was with a group that was threatening to murder elected officials including the vice president. he very possibly saved the lives of members of congress. my only regret is that the cops didnt shoot more of those rat b*stard traitor trumpers. we cant tolerate anything like that and the fact that they and those who incited them are getting off so easily is very dangerous as it only emboldens them to do it again.

Take the Capitol shooting back to the Capitol riot thread. The only reason that officer was mentioned was because he was not identified by the papers, just like this idiot kid is not being identified. The reasoning in these 2 cases is different.

In the Capitol shooting, the officer was not identified because he was an officer discharging his official duties and was not being accused of any crime, and yet he'd be subject to harassment if his identity was widely known.

In the bicyclist case, the kid is also not being charged with a crime, but he doesn't sit under the protective umbrella of law enforcement that would shield him from identification. He wasn't acting in any official capacity for the state. So he'd have been fair game. But, we also have the added wrinkle that he's a minor and newspapers generally avoid identifying minors even when charged with crimes -- and all the more so when they aren't charged.

In neither case though is their race relevant.

We all get it you more upset that she was shot by a cop that was doing his job had she been doing her job instead of breaking into the Capital building maybe this wouldn't have happen .

If she was there illegally trespassing with bad intentions and poses a serious threat, I would agree with you. She was just one amongst many and mostly men, and I do not agree with their actions, they were tricked or were caught up in the heat of the moment and therefore did a very very ill advised thing.

With that being said, the cop did not do his job. He did not have to shoot that tiny woman dead like that. That narrative has been fishy from the start. There were many rough looking men near her and this little woman poses the greatest threat? No firearms had been found in that group that went into the Capitol building.

Like I’ve said, Ashli did a stupid thing, she could have supported Trump by standing outside and yelled let’s go Brandon all day long. However, she did not have to lose her life because of one ******* cowardice cop who likes to shoot petite defenseless women.

No she didn't have to lose her life but following a loser like 45 it got to that point .You keep say that there were many rough looking men there but none of them tried to go through the glass door as she did .Your right about one thing they didn't have any firearms but they were armed with stun guns, pepper spray, baseball bats and flagpoles wielded as clubs All of which can be used to kill so again the cop did the right thing had it been woman or man climbing threw the door.

 

Not sure where this line of thinking is headed. When the officer saw this tiny (really, average-sized by my viewing) woman climbing through a broken window to gain entry to the House chamber, he should have shot one of those rough-looking men in the hallway?

 

Of course not... they should have just let the innocent tourists continue on with their door smashing, officer assaulting, laptop stealing, capital defacing, kill Mike Pence & Nancy Pelosi chanting, freedom tour unhindered. Maybe they should have also offered free zip ties and mace to those who didn't bring their own. -end sarcasm
