The problem is in the off-season, you had KPJ posing upfront like he was the franchise player during this rebuild... Hes the type to take it and run with it.. Especially after hearing how Tillman treated Harden... He wanted that treatment because the Rockets annointed him as the face of the team... So now he thinks he's the closer and every thing starts and ends with him... Rockets basically adopted a talented troubled kid and are walking on eggshells to keep him from becoming unhinged... But now they have their own child ( Green) to nurture and KPJ ain't having it!.. So they bout to turn his ass over to the system (trade or cut) in a minute... No disrespect with the analogy!

If you don't follow the Rockets social media accounts then say so bruh...lol.. Unfortunately I see it alot due to my stepson being part of the Rockets social media team.. He helps with the editing so I see his work... Before Green came, it was all KPJ, Wood, and Tate like it was some kind of Big 3 brewing..

 

I mean you still have to market something to the fans regardless what players you have. Unless we just put our mascott Clutch on every marketing/promotional ad.

Green is averaging 13 pts not 10 or less. Green isnt the main focal point thats cuz he cant make buckets at a high clip and is having trouble adjusting to the NBA. As his efficiency increases thats when his scoring will increase. He is only 19, struggles for him are unexpected but not that uncommon as we have seen from Anthony Edwards last year.

Btw James Harden only averaged 9 pts on 40% FG his rookie year. And he was 20 yrs old and not 19. If Harden can struggle coming out of the gate what more Green?
