Some of you are confused with the thought that the rebuild was going to be done in one year. This roster is going to be completely different 3 years from now.

Well, there is still the problem of Wembanyama not being in this year's draft ...

It’s exhausting reminding people that we are rebuilding. I’m sure it’s not lost on the Rox org that we need to get other players to complete this team, including bigs. They probably figure we’ll do it through a series of draft picks, trades and then finally FA pick-ups over the next 2-4 seasons. Hopefully they didn’t overlook this strategy as you suggest.

You may be dead in three years….hope you enjoy wasting your life watching your beloved rebuild. Great that you trust ownership that much to be ok with sucking for the next three years (and then voila Championships galore)!!!

I didn’t say I was ok with it. I’m just being realistic. Whether it’s thru draft or FA, at least half of this roster will be gone. That’s the nature of the NBA.

I think you need a solid 3 man rotation of big guys. I hope that Sengun and Garuba represent 2 pieces of that rotation moving forward. I expect the Rockets will probably select a guy that can be the final piece to that puzzle (Banchero would be perfect but I'm also interested in Patrick Baldwin and Jabari Smith depending on how the next few months play out). I'd also be down with acquiring a second rounder to pick up a 7 footer to develop who can at least be 6 fouls against the Embiids and Jokics of the world (Ibou Badji is a guy that really interests me but there are several others who fit the bill).

aka a shotblocker... We could use someone to teach our bigs how to do that better.

How many times have you, as a fan, experienced a rebuild by your favorite team? And how many of those times did it take just one year?

In this day of age, teams with billionaire owners no longer do the five year rebuild. They go out and buy the building blocks necessary to compete. We had a ready to be made competitive team:
    Wall
    KPJ
    Tate
    Wood
    Mobley
    Gordon
    Theis
    Nwaba
    KMartin
Add a better coaching staff and voila….you now have a contender and rebuild is out the window. Don’t be so quick to accept sucking for the next 3-5 years. As fans, we deserve better!!!
