I say that if this team stays intact and the Rockets resign all of their free agents, this team goes 50 and 32. All indications are that this team is continuing to improve in the past 2 seasons.

So 50-32 is my pick if no further changes are made and the free agents are signed.

I think we'll win more than 50 games next season, which is only 5 more than last season. I say 54 - 28.

I'm assuming Dream would re-sign, and Mo would to. Portland and Phoenix seem to be taking nose dives, and Minnesota is strapped and have been able to make few changes. I say 51-31 and the 7th seed.

I think that without Griffin we were a good chance to break 50 wins!

With him we're looking at around 55

Considering that these current Rockets would have had 54 wins if they had taken care of business with the Nuggets, Clippers, Celtics, and Nets, I think a prediction of 55 wins is more than fair.

But, knowing the Rockets, they will find a way to lose at least 10 games to sub-500 teams. 45-37 for the second straight season, no playoffs.

    Too Optimistic for me.... [IMG]

I say 58-24 4th seed in the West. Maybe 3rd or maybe 5th. This will include the Rockets normal (5-7) 1-5pt losses from crap plays and bad calls. Good guys win it all!!!

Next year the Rockets will go 82-0.

The reason I say that, is something I heard from a sports writer. He said when making sports predictions that don't really matter, just say whatever you wish it would be. hehe.

I think the sports writer was quoting someone though when he said it.

If the prediction was important then I would agree with the 50-32 record.

The only worrying factor is this : Almost wothout exception, to the point that I think it's like over 85%, studies I've seen done (Sporting News, Bill James, PFW, ect. ect. ) show that pro sports teams that make a huge improvement one year tand to regress somewhat the following year. ANd these are statistical studies, not opinion based, so our opinions of the respective publications are irelevant. This is not to say that the Rockets will necessarily fall into the majority, but I think we should be aware of the odds we're facing...

Soonerockstro, I agree with the 66 wins if Griffin plays great scoring 23 points 12 rebounds, 3.5 Blocks. At higher level that Steve was playing his first year.

And if Morris comes in to play like originaly expected at the beginning of this year, man!!! That means coming in and scoring 15 points off the bench each and every single night.

Oh, and Steve and Mobley improve their play. Taylor improves his rebounding average to 10. Cato wakes up and starts to score 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks shots. Hakeem stays one full year on the healthy track. Norris comes back. Langhi lights it up when called upon.

I'm saying 66 wins sounds great and 70 might be more like it. Of course I'm in the middle of R.E.M. and sound asleep as I write this!!! But anything is possible in our imagination.

I stick to my 50 and 32 records unless this scenario come true.

50-32. This is still a pretty young team. I'm waiting for Dakota's prediction though.
