(Controversial) Silas chooses KPJ over Green to end game

You continue to play Sengun until he fouls out. Then bring in Theis. i was kidding about running sengun at point. but i wouldn't put it passed Sengun to excel guarding PG's too.

 

The argument for playing Green is that his development trumps trying to win. Experience in the clutch is really valuable for a rookie IMO, and also hard to find when you're such a bad team, so he should have been in for that reason.

Look Jalen was bad tonight, but still I would have played him in that last minute. I dont think he should have punished him ladt minute for playing bad defense and missing shots...he needs to learn

 

Sengun is terrible. Stop it, just stop. I understand the fascination with foreign guys here, but the guy can't finish or defend a lawn chair.

 

He chose EGo over Green because he is much better than Green and he was trying to win.

KPJ is the worst player in the league right now who is getting starter minutes. i HOPE THAT CHANGES BUT HE IS G LEAGUE BAD. He's the worst pg IVE SEEN he leads the league in turnovers and I thought he was selfish but he literally cant see open guys because he fumbles the ball so much so he has to look down so he wont lose it and still does. HE IS NOT A POINT GUARD. HE WAS AWFUL ALL GAME AND HAD NO BUSINESS BEING IN THERE TO END THE GAME. Im not yelling the caps are just for emphasis lol. No pg in the league turns the ball over as much and averages less than 5 assists. its bad.

 

A lot of you need a reality check about this team.

This year is about DEVELOPMENT.

Thinking that benching Green was the right call to secure a meaningless win is asinine. Green needed to be in there to learn and grow from those moments.

In fact, we saw how clutch he was against LAL. He probably would’ve won us the game too.

 

Augustin at the point. Steady vet PG who isn't going to panic.

 

Our backcourt of Green and KPj is basically awful - bad on D, bad on O, they both are way too young to be playing this much if you are trying to win.

AND WE aren't ...so play em - let em learn by getting their asses kicked so much until they get tired of it and improve their own games enough to be good NBA players.

You left out Green who is just awful at shooting the ball, playing defense and basically being an NBA player.

he leads the team in most rating categories … eg net rating. He did again today at +8. He was +8 in 13:53 off the bench.

he makes ****-ton of rookie mistakes and gets basically ZERO close or even not so close calls go his way.

even with that he’s their best rating player.

regarding KPJ… at the moment this isn’t complicated. He missed the end of game shot against LAL. He missed two shots in the last two minutes of this game. Thus far he does not perform well under pressure.

overall I’ve said this before multiple times…. KPJ looks significantly worse this year after getting practice/offseason time in with Silas. Green looks worse after training camp/offseason/practice.

Something Silas and co is doing is messing with their game, psyche, whatever. Hard to say without being there

 

And Silas still smarter than Kevin McHale, yikes
