haha fair point, but that´s because AD is a good defender, and the Rookie went above that level. Our kid crossed him over, then stepback off that and AD was right there. Big shot, and he was unfazed. He visualized that before in his head, no surprises. You gotta support that level of confidence. He behaves like he really works on that shot.

We´ll see if he can post 2 in a row. I honestly was getting worried and don't blame me, you guys have me googling Lavine´s Timberwolves era for comparisons. It was refreshing to see all that potential in display.

It reminded me of Yao´s first 20 point game, also against the Lakers.

I think it's clear that before he was drafted that he has a certain undefinable quality or qualities that are going to make him a superstar. That along with his athleticism are both god tier. His shooting and if he can get a little stronger will make him a great player. His passing already seems average for a SG at the age of 19. Even though I have been watching basketball I don't feel I am personally a good judge on a player for defense. Hopefully, he improves with that as well though, the desire seems to be there.

If the Rockets can manage over the next 3 seasons to drum up another player that is a SF PF or C to pair with Green (and Sengun) that can play all NBA defense. Then I think you have something. The Rockets have a lot of bullets to hit that target though. Wood is not that player.

Silas is not going to learn that Nwaba is a situational player.

Just start an "experiment over" thread and get your answers there but not on this forum find yourself a forum about how you can improve yourself as an observer of basketball.

It took Silas much too long to figure this out.

    His rotations absolutely reek.

    Coaching matters.

I think he was watching the ball all the way on the drive to the basket, so that can't be it. The throw wasn't perfect, but it looked like he mis-timed his jump and instead of meeting the lob up around the rim for a dunk or layup, he just waited for it to come to him. At that point, he was damn-near under the basket and screwed. I also wonder if his arm was swiped. I haven't seen the play from the opposite angle. But in any case, it should've probably been a gimme.

This is something I've noticed in the offense more with Wood and Sengun -- both of them bring the ball up the court quickly if they're left unguarded/open.

Quickly? He's still not in the starting lineup and its week 3 lol He only played KJ because House went down. Silas is a ****in idiot. He did the same thing with Sengun he didnt discover anything new he started Sengun because Theis went down. Silas is a simple man when it comes to basketball. Keep the same rotation no matter what until an injury happens. Ive seen High School Coaches make timelier adjustments.

Just like crap screens, late rotations, poor defense and horrendous free throw shooting are becoming staples in Wood’s game.

Lakers Legends respect outweighs your disdain.
