Relax. The last thing he said was that the team should remain intact and that is exactly what the Rockets are doing. I expect everything to work itself out and we just need to relax. It is not about disrespect. Both sides want him to end his career in Houston. Simply put the Rockets cannot get a better player to fit their needs, if he stays healthy. I would think that the plan is to reduce the reliance on him during the regular season.

I bet the Rockets are proceeding with Mo and other FA's, not even worrying about Hakeems salary demands. When everything is said and done, they will offer him what they think he is worth (call his bluff), and he will either take it or move on. Even if they offer him 5 million, nobody is going to pay him more than the 4.5 million exception.

ESPN insider had stated that sources close to the Rockets, were going to make a substancial offer to Antonio Davis. If that is true, it appears the Rockets are already planning for the future.

As far as all the talk about Hakeem finishing his career in Houston, I only have one thing to say, "HE DID THAT LAST YEAR". If he wants to attempt to come back he will have to realize that 20 minutes a game, 50 games or less is not worth more than 5 million.

If your potential employer wants to wait for another candidate to reply before he decides on you, is that the other guys fault? HELL NO! That only shows:

    1) You are not good enough to be the top priority.
    2) Your boss is not kind enough to to grant you the money; but he is certainly wise enough to find a good excuse.

Get your logic right. Don't blame Hakeem for everything. He is just a ball player. I like him a lot, but I never think of how much I should respect him. As long as he is not a rapist of some sort, and does a reasonable amount of charity work, that is good enough for me to love his game.

We should look towards resigning our free agents like Moochie, Taylor, and the Bull and sign and trade Anderson for a player like Brad Miller, who will probably be replaced by Chandler in a year or two.We have to move fast instead of waiting for Hakeem because the rest of the players might not wait for long.
Other free agents who I think should be looked at are Jerome Williams,Marc Jackson, and Bruce Bowen.
