You'll have to pay $15-20 to unlock that phone, ask around in the southwest part of town (Harwin, Bellaire, etc) in cell phone stores and ask if they'll do it for you.

call up tmobile and tell them you are going on a business trip to singapore, or any european country, heck just say out the country and ask for the unlock code, once you put in arequest within 3 days tehy email the code to you.

on the other hadn does anyone know any sites with free ringtones other than

    matrixm
    and
    3guploads

o yea tmobile has free wap internet access so all the free internet you want, as long as you dont get into other charges.

What exactly is "unlocking" a cell phone and what is the purpose of it?

say i have a phone with Cingular and say im done with their service. I decide to go with Tmobile and wish to use my same fone that i did with cingular, well to be able to do that you have to get your phone unlockd.

basically most people get it to use it overseas if they have a tri band phone they can use it anywhere in the world just keep changing the sim cards per country.

Wait, I just realized... Cingular's triband and quadband phones are supposed to be already unlocked. Try putting in a T-Mobile SIM and see what happens.
