The short should not have had the pin stripes, especially with that side panel. Overall they do look cool and this would’ve been way better in the 90s if they kept that original font. Hornets pretty much nailed it! When you compare ours to the rest then it really is good. Look at the Knicks, Magic and Thunder w/ the all black and all greyed out looks. Some of these designs make no sense. Knicks and Magic should have blue in celebrating the past. We cannot be pissed since they included past logos, fonts and really tried to celebrate all eras, though a nod to the earliest Rockets would’ve been nice.
Looking at it again separately and the jersey itself is actually pretty dope, it's the shorts that are throwing everything off for me. The white waist band and white stripes ruin the flow of color. If you made the wordmark and number lettering solid white, it would flow better, but still suck because it's just a lazy copy and paste job.
Memories. I still remember buying clothes from there. If you had no money, Weiner's was the place to be. If you ever owned some Giorgio Brutini fake snakeskin sneakers, you know.
I didn’t like the baby blue ones from last year and these aren’t much better. I wish we could get a Clutch City edition jersey or something similar to the Rip City ones Portland has.
Hated the originals. Not only were they ugly, but they remind me of the Dream, Drexler, and Barkley all fading. These new versions aren't much better.
Looks like ****. The Astros did a great job updating the past. The Rockets continue to put out ****. First getting rid of the traditional jersey. Then catering to China. The current jerseys are cleaner but we are not red, gray, and black. We will always be red and yellow.
You know what? These jerseys actually work. They suck just as much as the team does this year. Good job Nike! You nailed it!
I really like the new city unis. I also liked the pajama ones though. Anything is better than what we have now. We have needed a fresh new set of uniforms for way too long.
The only thing I wish the Astros would have done with their uniforms is put the original font letters back on the uniforms they kind of look too plain. And the rockets just need to go back to classic ketchup and mustard kind of go back to the classic like the Atlanta Hawks did.
Jerseys suck and there is way too much blue in that court. The Houston Rockets are not a blue or baby blue team. We are a red team with yellow and white accents. If I'm watching a game on TV and have to constantly remind myself which weird ass uniformed team is the Rockets, it defeats the whole purpose of fandom. I hate all of this.
You know what's funny, there's not a single night where we play another team in their city edition uniforms..
at least it’s not another variation of black or grey, and it’s better than last year’s baby blue bullsh*t…that’s all I have to say
