I think he was saving Odorizzi for tomorrow. Graveman threw yesterday, so that might be why he didn't use him(well, that and giving up a HR). So tomorrow, we know we have Valdez starting and a rested Odorizzi and Yimi available. At home, I'd feel good that that trio could give us at least 7 innings. The problem is Dusty will have to pinch hit for our relievers, even moreso if our starting lineup can't produce enough runs.
Braves feeling really good. Framber pitching and he’s an unknown. Braves can clinch tomorrow at home. it’s not over but if bats don’t show…. It’s over.
If Dusty trots out that worthless Marwin creature to pinch hit again tomorrow I’m going to do something terrible to myself.
Tomorrow the Astros should finally get to have batting practice so maybe that can help the offense. I feel good with Valdez on the mound tomorrow. He'll bring his meditation vibes back and go deep. Then we just win World Series games that Urquidy starts and he's lined up for game 6. I ain't hear no fat lady yet.
Yep can't even have a real trophy through all this winning over the years... They deserve what's coming from the naysayers...
Took out Greinke or should have left him in Put in this guy and should have put in this guy and why didn’t this guy pitch or why did this guy pitch WGAS Asking them to be perfect (2 runs or less) while the big name bats **** the bed.
It's too much pressure. It's like going down with the Titanic. Eventually, your head just explodes (or implodes) even if you found an air pocket.
If the Astros come back to force a Game 7, I'd like our chances against Anderson at home. Especially given how Garcia has pitched his last 2 games.
I told the forum, before coming to Atlanta 1-1, everyone wanted Bregman, I just believe in Jose Siri passion and energy in the Lineup, everyone plays above their energy. Some people had to cuss about this lineup 2B Jose Altuve 1B Michael Brantley 3B Yuli Gurriel LF Yordan Alvarez SS Carlos Correa RF Kyle Tucker CF Jose Siri C Martin Maldonado P
Feel sorry for Greinke. Two great opportunities to win a WS for his career and both times he pitched an awesome WS before being taken out. Too bad the Astros won't get another shot at a WS for years to come as Correa is definitely gone. At least we won one as tainted as it is.
He probably was looking at Hank Aaron. and maybe the Astros dont have enough to get past the Hank Aaron ritual this year that the Braves have on their side but we'll see tmw
Don't feel bad about the pitching at all. 3 runs given up and I don't feel bad about Javier giving up the runs because I feel confident that he's a good option to go to. Astros should have had more clutch hitting when it mattered.
Probably should have pulled Christian after the first HR. Or, maybe he couldn't because he hadn't faced the minimum batters.
All the Astros had to do was get ONE big hit with RISP, and this series would be 2-2. It's that simple.
No doubt. But the Stros offense can wake up at any moment, it's going to have to now. I feel like if we come out there and crush them we'll put some fear in them and we can win. It seems impossible right now, but the bats just gotta wake up and do something. I feel like it's the same as the Red Sox series but opposite. With the Red Sox, we couldn't shut down their offense for two games, it felt like every guy coming up was Mike Trout, then we have one good pitching game and then they cooled off. I feel like if we get to their pitchers once, we'll cool them off, they'll pitch with a little more doubt, and we can get the ball rolling.
