The Braves HAD to win this game. They would have been cooked if not. Saw some really good pitching on both sides. The Braves brought out their best pitching tonight in game 3, but it won’t be that way for the most of the other games. I believe the lack of batting practice also played a role on this cold and drizzly night in a ballpark they’ve never played in.

Braves have now won a game scoring 3 runs or less in every series (4 total). Astros bats need to wake up tonight in the two bullpen games against Atlanta. Tough to waste a good pitching performance, but Atlanta’s pitching should not be as strong the rest of the series.
He had that very weak swing to strikeout. As bad as they were, we are just down 1-2. Any win in Atlanta, the momentum swings. Like Boston, win 1 game they will have to win it in Houston. Game 3 is probaly the worst offensive game this year for the Stros.
Not that it would have mattered, but is there a reason for Siri to have not tried to steal until 2 outs? As crappy as the game was for the Astros, that was the only thing where I thought they really could have done something different to spark things.
It was super ****ing stupid to not steal until 2 outs. That was the only momentum we had all game. I don't know why we don't run more on a guy that throws out 2 out of 43 baserunners.
