I really liked it. The rest of you are on crack or got a huge wedgie before watching it! Clear your cracks!

it may not be “28 Days Later” or “Zombieland” but it’s the next best thing. I felt like it flew by for how long it was. I felt it was an interesting take of a tired genre. Bad acting? There’s been much worse than that in this genre!

To me, the worst part was how it started considering how much more serious the rest of the film felt. Well, serious for a zombie movie. It’s not like it was going for laughs or anything. I just think it could have started with a more interesting outbreak idea than that.

    B+

We didn't have our first VCR until 1989. I remember this because I wanted to rent Michael Keaton's other master piece not named My Life starring Michael Keaton.
The Asian lady picked it out for us and what I got was the 1960s Batman movie. 7 year old me was disappointed. We thought all movies came out instantly to VHS. So the first movie we rented wasn't at a blockbuster but at a tiny video store on Westview Dr.
The little "FM" express food mart is still there. By the early 90s to late 90s it was Blockbuster and Hollywood video all the time.

To me it was better than Zombie Land but not quite 28 Days Later. Definitely a AAA theatrical release given it's budget, technical work and cast of characters. Though it somewhat did disappoint, it's free with a Netflix subscription and is an anticipated zombie thriller horror movie.

I think many studios will look for production money from Netflix and Prime in able for their upcoming projects to become fruition as it was happening before the pandemic.

I have a soft spot for zombieland because it didn’t take itself seriously (+Bill Murry).

This was better than two though…

The project ran into issues and parts had to be redone. What other method of character development for Bautista's character would you have done? To me the disappointing factor was the time length with actual zombie killing and encounters. The Zombie Leader seemed to have lost some of his speed, power and agility from the start of the movie. The action was rushed at the end but not too bad. Hopefully it's a saga and there will be a continuing sequel.

    Is it a prequel?

Smart making a movie based off the best character.

For some reason, I picture Snyder-verse as a bed of roses that smells like a melange of meticulously curated bullshit.

Looks good far away, but the moment you take the plunge, there's that second whiff...
