Other than the “Astros suck” posts, this is by far the dumbest type of post noobs like to make in game threads. It makes absolutely no sense. How do you measure “fight” in baseball? It’s a bunch of one on one matchups. Kyle Tucker can’t help Jose Altuve when he’s batting. For reference, see all the Astros quit posts after games 2 and 3 just a series ago. We’re in the World Series, if you think you need to post the Astros quit, the Astros suck, or the Astros have no fight, just walk the **** away from your computer.
I hate to say it, but Bregman’s not breaking out this postseason. He has swing issues stemming from his lower half injuries and he has lost the swagger and immense confidence at the plate he used to have. He can stay in the lineup batting seventh, but expecting anything more than a occasional single or a walk right now is wishful thinking.
Interesting. But this thread says differently. check out the OP too https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/a-bet.303002/
random question but why does the Texans page come up in light mode despite the rest of the site being in dark mode?
doesn't matter. a bet doesn't have to involve money. But we can play it that way going with that thread and the terms you posted yourself. Stros don't get swept, you leave the board until Spring training. Stros get swept, I'll leave. You even have the luxury of a 1 game advantage
The Astros 1-3 hitters sucking ass for much of the series in Boston was a huge problem until Brantley got a big hit in the eighth inning of game 4. Last night, only Brantley showed up to the party. If the Astros didn’t have the ideal two-hole hitter in Michael Brantley, I would be suggesting to try Bregman there instead of seventh, and I will grant you Bregman did have a couple of singles in game 6 (one going the other way) and a homer over the monster in game 4. However, for the most part, Bregman is not driving the ball and he has turned into almost a dead-pull hitter. He gets an occasional single or walk, but that’s it. The guy with power gap-to-gap is not there. I agree that Correa is also a problem right now, but I still trust him at the plate with runners on far more than I do Bregman right now. Correa needs to stop being over aggressive in those situations and chasing junk out of the zone.
The Astros should be in charge of whether they want to open the roof but man it looks like a nice day. They should definitely open it.
How's the wind in Houston so far? After that front rolled through CenTex early in the AM it's been windy as **** all day, steady 20+ with gusts up to 40 until 5pm or so.
