Correa actually provides leadership and accountability. Altuve can play like ****, but rarely looks scared or frustrated. I'm not sure Tucker and Alvarez can even show emotion so points for them. Elite stoicism. Bregman is as much of a frontrunner as 90% of clutchfans. No composure, always good for a sad look when things go wrong. Yuli, Brantley, and Maldy/Castro are too old to care, for better or worse.
Nats never won a playoff series before demolishing two 105+ win teams in 2019. Braves never made it past the DS from 2001 onward until 2021. After all the pain Atlanta's gone through, It feels like you're playing a team on a long losing streak, you can't let them win or else you get humiliated forever. That or we become the first team to ever come back in the WS down 3-0 to win. Stros better not become the '95 indians.
That's not what I saw reported (by Charlie included) at any point until right now. May have missed something, I don't care much about contract negotiations.
This team really needs to win this World Series for the fans, redemption for 2017 and it looks like they are already down 0-1 in the series. I prefer to win the first game and if the split comes in game 2 so be it but now the threat of going down 0-2 tomorrow with Urquidy on the mound is frightening.
